Motel 6 Pismo Beach, CA - Motel in Pismo Beach - 860 N 4th St, USA

I booked 2 rooms here for 1 night stay and I was not disappointed. First of all both office staff ladies were very nice and helpful. Secondly the rooms were extremely clean. I didn’t like the beds at all because they were not comfortable. There is no box spring just a mattress on a platform style board. This was easy to overcome because it was just for one night. Not only was the rooms clean but so was the entire property including the pool area. The trash cans around the property needed to be dumped but other than that I give the cleanliness a 10! There is no coffee pot in the rooms but there is free coffee and tea in the office and it was fresh and delicious. The shower curtain had a musty moldy order to it like most shower curtains get and needs to be washed but the shower itself was spotless! The motel is pet friendly and although I didn’t bring my dog the kids enjoyed seeing other peoples dogs. This motel is about a 7 min drive from the beach. There is free WiFi with no password needed and is considerably cheaper than most all the motels in the area and it has a pool. I’m not sure why there is so many bad reviews for this motel but I wouldn’t pay much attention to them because they are not accurate in my opinion.

No clothes rack, cold water in sink and shower, which was very dangerous, no safety rail. I reported the cold shower and was asked did I report it.....which I thought I was doing. We booked for 2 nights and was told we only booked for 1 night.. No amenities: No air conditioner, coffee pot, etc, although coffee was served at front office...key card would not work. I could go on and on....but for the price they charged....I would definitely not recommend them keeping "The Light On" for me or anyone else....By the way while I was reporting the cold water, another guest came in handed in his key card, and said that he would never stay there again Terrible place

This place sucks. I felt like they looked at me like im scum of the earth as soon as i walked in there. Heres what happened:||so i make a reservation on booking and when i went to check in there was an older dude sitting behind a partition wall behind the front desk. He tells me the lady who would be checking me in was on a mandatory lunch break and to come back in ten minutes. So i politely said ok, went outside and waited a while in my car.. Probably a good 20 minutes. So i go to walk back in and the lady was at the desk, she then tells me “the computer is down please come back in another ten minutes” so now im thinking something weird is going on… but once again I’m always polite I go to wait another ten minutes. I actually went to Denny’s so I gave them quite a bit of time to figure it out. When I finally walked back in ready to check in after a good hour at least, there was some people in front of me and everything went kosher for them. When it was my turn the lady tells me oh sorry it looks like you’re on the DNR. I’ve never even been to that location and i told her that so I don’t know how I could possibly be on the do not rent list. I asked her why she tells me it doesn’t give her a reason it just tells her not to rent to me. I think when I first walked in there I had told her my name and I reserved thru booking, she gave me some excuse to get me to walk out while she puts me on the do not rent list and i even went argue the issue and told her I honestly think it’s because of the way I look and I’m feeling a lot of discrimination and that’s not cool. Not cool at all it actually hurt my feelings a lot. A lot a lot.. I then just chalked it up like whatever arguing isn’t going to change this and I told her that too and walked out. It’s ugly to make someone feel like that. I’ve never in my life even been to that location or any motel six around the area for that matter I’m from out of town. If you happen to have tattoos and aren’t your traditional old money looking senior citizens this place won’t rent to you and they’ll make you feel like you’re beneath them. I wouldn’t recommend anyone to to ever stay here. Spend a couple more bucks and go elsewhere.||-Kirsten||Attached a picture of myself you be the judge. I’m a punk rocker. Stayed here on a random beach trip. Very pleased with the stay. Room was very clean thankfully this hotel has no carpet. All motels should remove carpets. Hotel was packed but it was very quiet. Bed was comfortable seating was nice with a booth type chair. I'd say only flaw was it smelled like smoke. But once we turned on the fan it went away and had the "norm" motel smell. I'd out this one on our top 5 list and we will definitely stay here again. I've read the reviews and we had none of the issues. Although we didn't have a hair dryer or coffee pot there is plenty of spots to grab a coffee and I don't use hair dryers so not an issue. Thank you hotel 6 and cleaning people for making our stay nice 😊

They should have paid me. Awkward shower set up, no fridge or microwave, and the room smelled like cat piss. And they had the audacity to jack up their prices on this crappy place. I highly recommend that no one stay here ever! I deserve a refund!

Positive: We liked how close it was to certain attractions. The drive to the Pismo Pier was less than 10 minutes. Negative: This hotel is disgusting! The staff is rude. No Ac throughout the property. Mold and mildew. No window screens. No fridge or microwave. Toilet seat falling apart. Smells like smoke.

Checked in at 12am check in was breeze counter guy not so friendly. When got into room the TV and remote didn't work and the toilet didn't flush no shampoo and the shower setup was weird. Room smells like cat piss and bed was uncomfortable.

Beds are fairly uncomfortable. Only two small towels. No shampoo, conditioner, or lotion that you expect from all hotels. A/C did not work (they were very clear about that) which led to the room overheating at night. Also did not have a mini fridge or microwave
