Motel 6 Pendleton West - Featured Reviews (494)
Pros: great location, the room smelled good, overall the room was very clean. Walking around barefoot on the linoleum hardwood floors didn’t feel gross or dirty. Check in was super fast and easy as well as check out (drop off). The hotel was very quiet overall too.
Cons: the shower in our room was lukewarm at best. Definitely not hot water at the hottest setting. The floor in the room was squishy like maybe from damage? But it was fine. My biggest complaint would be the curtains didn’t block out a lot of light. The room was very lit up just from the street lights.
We were pleasantly surprised at this Motel 6.
Check in was a breeze and the woman checking us in was very pleasant and welcoming. Our room was in a quieter part of the motel on the lower level. It was well appointed and very clean and had everything we needed. This motel is conveniently located if you are traveling on 395 or 84 yet there is not that traffic noise you’d expect. There are also several restaurants close by. We traveled with our pets and we felt welcomed, and walking them was easy as we had a quiet street right outside our door.
Cleanest motel 6 I’ve seen. Room was very basic, but well kept. Bed was clean and comfortable. I also appreciate how the floors were not carpeted. I only rated the service low because we didn’t need it besides checking in. Location was good. Off the highway but went down into a safe area.
This was amn overnight stay and was perfect for our needs. Came in, on 395 on motorcycle. The lady at the front was very helpful, asked to check out the room. Room was clean and suited us for our one night stay. Would stay again if passing through this part of the state. I would recommend this property if wanting a reasonably priced accommodation.
Stay at Pendleton East instead. Pendleton West's manager was totally unresponsive : We called to cancel and the receptionist confirmed that there would be no charge. I repeated the question and was assured there would be no charge. A full charge appeared on my credit card. 5 times over the next four weeks I called and was told the manager was on vacation and would call me. Never happened. Even after contacting corporate customer service, whom emailed the manager, no response from the manager. It's true that I was cancelling on the day of and the Motel6 Pendleton West has a "Day Prior" cancellation policy. However, I was doubly reassured that there would be no charge. I found it way unreasonable for the manager to keep stonewalling after phone calls, emails directly to them (I got the email from customer service), contacts from customer service.
I recently had the pleasure of staying at Motel 6, and I must say, it was a delightful surprise. Upon arrival, I was greeted by a warm and friendly manager who immediately set the tone for what turned out to be a fantastic experience. The room was impeccably clean. Moreover, the room was surprisingly spacious, providing ample room to move around comfortably. The inclusion of a fridge and microwave was an added convenience, making my stay even more enjoyable. One of the highlights of my stay was the fast internet connection. As someone who often needs to stay connected for work, I was pleasantly surprised by the speed and reliability of the Wi-Fi. It made catching up on emails and browsing the web a breeze. The housekeeping staff was caring and friendly too. It was truly the nicest Motel 6 experience I've had. Highly recommended!
Service was fine. Location was where we needed it. I could use my cell phone thus no connection problems.
We went on a trip to see my Mom in hospital in Portland, Oregon. On the way back, we stayed here, on the night of May 14, 2024. No fridge, no microwave.
We brought our dog with us, and on the whole trip, most of the time, when we needed a motel, we stayed in a Motel 6, because they are dog friendly right?
I agree, sometimes. They don't charge extra for a dog unless there are problems, which is great because our dog causes no problems.
He has basic needs--he needs to eat--we brought food, sleep--we brought his blankets, and he needs to go to the bathroom. That means to me that there is a patch of grass within a short walking distance from my room, that I can take him on a leash, and responsibly clean up after him-- I brought bags and leash.
But this Pendleton West place had no safe place for him to go to the bathroom or any other dog for that matter. Just beyond the parking lot, and all sides of the road are completely covered with VERY BAD foxtails-- a weed that can hurt dogs and all other animals very badly. There's only one small patch of grass near the office outside that says, "no dogs allowed".
Thus, I must conclude, this Motel 6 is Not dog friendly. Fyi.

Being an Over The Road Truck Driver. Means a lot when one can find a place such as your establishment that's welcoming you as if it's your home.
Perfect location for anyone to walk the sites, access eateries and a complementary shuttle to and from Wild Horse Casino.
I recommend this to all Truckers and Travelers alike!!

An incredibly eye opening experience! We left with a completely different view of the history we've been taught compared to reality, so sad, and wished we could apologize to everyone on behalf of all the awful things we did to all the native tribes.
