Motel 6 Pasadena, CA – Old Town Pasadena Area - Motel in Pasadena - 2863 E Colorado Blvd, USA

Too bad this motel is such a flea bag. Literally had fleas in the mattresses, huge yellow stains on the mattresses, black grime between the bathroom tiles, dust, and blackish greenish spots on the bathroom ceiling, probably mold. This place is likely a health hazard and in my opinion doesn’t deserve to be a motel 6 - not even the minimum standard of cleanliness not to mention ice machine but no ice buckets, wasn’t given a do not disturb sign for door until I had been there a few days, after buying my own cleaning and bug spray supplies because the front desk said ‘yeah sure’ when I asked them about doing a better job with getting bugs out of the mattresses and then didn’t do anything about it. Too bad because this place is in an excellent location but it needs a deep clean and more regular detailed cleaning. I hope they plan to improve the place but by the looks of the reviews they have been made aware of the problems for weeks and months and they say polite things in response but haven’t prevented the same problems from being reported across time. I hope it gets better. I guess it’s hard to run a motel on a budget these days. My advice - get your cleaning people to really do some work , get in there and scrub regularly with vinegar. Wear masks when you do it and give your cleaning people a bonus when they get all visible mold out of every room. Charge $20 or $35 more per night, use that money to give your people a raise when they keep the place nice, and take advantage of this awesome location and the branding of motel 6. Com on guys, this is embarrassing!

Room size was decent. Beds decent. Bathroom was quite moldy in tiles, around tub and on ceiling. Parking was easy. Location was easy to find. Safe did not work. Departure from parking to side street did have a deep pit that caused the bottom of the car front bumper to bottom out even at very slow speeds. Cute furniture. One light didn’t work. One bar of soap total. Had to ask for another for the sink. Front desk guy said we could leave bags - and I explained we had a bunch - in a storage room for a few hours but when it came to it they refused. “2 bags per registered guest only” Wasted a lot of time when we were supposed to be at a special lunch. I even offered to pay for late checkout but there was no compromise. Didn’t want car to get broken into but inconsistent info and unhelpful staff.

Rooms are quite okay, especially considering its just a motel. They are cleaned everyday and you get the soap bars and fresh towels free of charge. There was also an steaming iron setup and a hair dryer in my room, which was helpful. But the damn cockroaches were a pain. Nothing we could do about those. There was a TV with some decent selection of channels as well as a small refrigerator and microwave oven. The bed was comfortable as well and there were enough electricity outlets. They had a safe as well but it didn't work and I couldn't be bothered to try and get it fixed. The AC was a bit on the noisier side but personally that wasn't a problem. The wifi was really bad though, having to reconnect and agree to terms quite often which was bloody frustrating. The pool was well maintained and it was empty for the most part. There also a couple of vending machines including one for free ice. There was only coffee available and that was at the reception and only in the mornings. A 20min walk from the nearest metro train station and a 10min from the nearest bus lines. A couple of food spots including a KFC and a 7-Eleven in the neighborhood. Overall, quite okay for a budget stay for a day or too, but don't expect to be completely satisfied. The staff at the reception were quite friendly though and were quite open to try and help. The cark park was also quite accessible

Refrigerator was broken. And the sign clearly says no pets allowed and there was dogs barking all night next to us. Negative: ""

Positive: This hotel is in a great location. It¿s pretty clean and quiet. Negative: The beds are very firm. I was pretty uncomfortable. The checkout process was strange. I turned my keys in and the man at the desk immediately came to our room (I was doing a last minute check) and he asked if we were leaving. It was off putting. Negative: ""

Beware ROACHES!! 🪳 🪳🪳 (TL;DR @ bottom)... Roaches are all over the place and various "smells" drift over the parking lot. Very rundown... Crickets inside the walls(you read that right), the window slats are loose and let in light(no curtains), the beds are very stiff and the bedding feels and smells very used. Same for the thin/see through bath towels that they only give one a day for you when you clearly need two to dry off. (Laying in the bed would be faster) The pillows are flat and not fluffy(think swiss cheese without the holes), The floors are sticky, the tile in bathroom is missing pieces, the shower head NEEDS CLR, the toilet barely flushes.. the exit from the parking lot had a HUGE dip going down then up. Scrapes the rental car front bumper. Get an SUV or jeep. I went to ask the staff a question and they didn't understand English and almost checked me out early (if only another hotel was open on short notice..), "Loud" neighbours(all night and day) and house keeping is disruptive. TL;DR plus: I've stayed at other places in LA and surrounding areas and this is by far the WORST place I have ever been. The only redeeming thing is the AC works... At least in this room 🙄 - roaches - noisy crickets - questionable windows - uncomfortable beds/pillows - bed sheets and bath towels are "paper" thin and smelly - shower head is filthy, toilet doesn't flush well - sticky floor - leaving the parking lot damages car bumper - staff can't wait to get rid of you to be alone - hidden fees - WORST hotel I've ever been in, 0 stars

My stay at Motel 6 Pasadena was really great thanks to the amazing staff. Right from when I arrived, the front desk folks were super welcoming and quick to help with anything I needed. Their friendly attitude and local tips made me feel like I was right at home. Weather it was giving me extra towles or helping me find my way around, they were always there and happy to help. The staff’s genuine care and professionalism made my visit really enjoyable. Definately made a big difference in my stay!
