Motel 6 Palatine, IL - Chicago Northwest - Motel in Palatine - 1450 E Dundee Rd, USA

If you don't smoke, DO NOT COME HERE I got non smoking room with sign outside non smoking. It was suffocating to sleep because smell of cigarettes inside and even coming from HVAC AC. All hallways smell like cigarettes. Even non smoking room had burned cigarettes marks. Disgusting. Got may be 1hr sleep because it was so bad I couldn't breath. Worst experience ever. There is pattern of same complaints here, I should've checked reviews. Decent location but very run down motel. I could've slept better in car.

Upon arriving st this location the front desk lady was not very friendly. We entered the hallway our room was off of and it smelled like an ash tray. The room did not smell The best either. The linens had cigarette burns on it. There was no blanket on the bed I called to ask for one and was told give me 10 minutes. I never received a call back or a blanket. Luckily Walmart was down the street so I went and bought one! I went to take a shower the shower head barley worked it needs deep Cleaned or replaced. The bed was hard as a rock, I tossed and turned all night because I couldn’t get comfortable. The walls are so thin I was woken up multiple times due to people being loud either in the hallways or in the rooms next to us. Also there was not a mricowave or even a mini fridge in the room. For people on vacation that’s not ok. I will Not be returning ever again worst trip to Chicago I have ever made. Terrible service and quality of hotel.

Room service terrible Bed linen with cigarette burns, pillows so small I never seen nothing like this, room was stinky. Location is OK but no restaurants you have to use Room service also terrible, food wasn't good, French fries, I think was boiled, I would call this place homeless shelter in the middle of car dealership

For the price, they're great. Always relatively clean (I still clean upon arrival). Some rooms need refurbishing. They have vending machines, ice, washer & and dryer, and microwave available for use. Internet works great. And they allow pets. We've stayed here twice a year for family events for a few years running and have never had an issue.

I stayed in a smoking room. Yes they still have smoking rooms. Room very small. But the bedding had burn holes on both bed blankets. Burn holes in bathroom floor and the SHOWER wasn't a shower. For 86$ with tax a night there wasn't even a microwave. Or free breakfast nothing for the price.

Not very clean. Nor didn’t smell clean. Smelled like straight cigarettes. The rooms weren’t the best either but mid for only spending $70.

The wonderful staff at the front desk were extremely accommodating and helpful, They always greeted me with a smile on their face and were willing to lend a hand when needed. The maids are friendly and smile, (even just in passing)and are not afraid to engage in a conversation. It’s quiet and clean and the grounds are very pretty with many many wildflower beds and seasonal decorations, and all the grounds are very well-maintained. I did have 1 problem with an air conditioner, and immediately was moved to a different room when it was found, couldn’t be fixed my way it took less than an hour for Maintenance to check the issue and I appreciated that it was extremely hot outside. The issue was taken care of immediately. So I would HIGHLY recommend this, Motel 6, even if you have to drive a few more miles bring yourself and or your family to Motel 6 in Palatine it is an absolutely wonderful place to be, I would recommend it to anybody And everybody!! Compared to other Motel 6 establishments I have stayed at the Palatine Motel 6 is a Hawaiian vacation, and I stayed at several over the years. I don’t recall having a more pleasant experience than there. Never have I dealt with more friendly, outgoing people than Palatine Motel 6. I really enjoyed my stay The overall atmosphere at the motel 6 Palatine is relaxed, cozy, and safe and secure. Not to mention it’s in a great location as there are several restaurants, Walmart, grocery stores, and several strip malls all within approximately 5-10 minutes walking distance

A friend and I came by to rent a room for the night. The staff, who I believe were a couple, were extremely rude and unprofessional. The man at the desk was very unhelpful when asked about the rates for the week. He also began to mock my friend’s stutter. We immediately left and found a nicer location in a different town nearby. I definitely wouldn’t recommend it to anyone looking for a good experience at a hotel because this wouldn’t be what you’re looking for!
