Motel 6 Owensboro, KY - Motel in Owensboro - 4585 Frederica St, USA

Stayed a few nights here and there, the main overnight worker walks barefoot, belches impressively loud, and has a general fairly rude attitude. Aside from that, a few rooms I've had over the years haven't had A/C, or the bathrooms have been pretty pube-y. Other than that, it's a good location, and I feel $55-60 total is a fair price nightly for a cheap place to stay a night or 2. Any more than that and I feel you're better off at the Days Inn.

Read this if you haven't tried this before, and if your expectations are high for a cheap hotel room. My experiences when I get inside the bedroom was with filthy bedspread and sheets, the bathroom has dirty towels and all the rooms I use (2) had that nauseous smell to weed, and every time I arrived there I felt the same, and supposedly the rooms were non smokers, to complete the experience the rooms have such a poor sound isolation on their walls, that the talks and TV shows played on the rooms beside mine, were easily heared from my bed, also the talking. There was no fridge at any of those rooms and they supposedly have one small one. To complete the experience, I complained several times about the lack of one of those things in my room with the hotel manager, and the manager after replying positively, never send anyone, later I asked their subordinate about the task he supposedly said to one of them to solve my complaints and he never told anyone, so that's the kind of treatment you get there. Luckily the only upside is that front desk ladies, were very polite and kind.

I wish I could share the photos of the room we were put in. Im not one to complain and Ive stayed in some downright questionable places but this place is the only one Ive ever checked out early, requested a refund, and I am immediately sharing my review. This place is disgusting, we noticed a chicken nugget on the floor of our room right under the bed which was our first clue. So we started looking around...the pillow cases were dirty with hair and stains(removable and fresh) then we pulled down the blankets to reveal the unwashed and heavily used sheets with dried up semen all over them on one of the beds, that was all I needed to see. My daughter had sat on that bed! I understand you get what you pay for but we were in town unexpectedly and the "pet friendly" hotel we had booked ahead turned out it wasnt pet friendly so we booked this place in a hurry and it was still $70- thats not much but seems to be the going rate for average rooms here so I thought nothing of it. I left shaking, I am so angry that this place could be so relaxed with their cleaning policy that we could be exposed to that nastiness. Im disgusted honestly. The whole room was filthy. No sweeping, no cleaning of sinks,, and obviously nothing else was cleaned either. I could understand if they accidentally put us in the wrong room but no, she reiterated it was "cleaned" when we complained and the what im assuming is the owner apologized, told them to "clean the room now" and gave us a refund. Dont go here, just dont, its not worth it

Positive: Location is very convenient as it is within a cluster of restaurants and shopping Negative: The room was terrible. The condition was far below other locations of Motel 6 that we have stayed at. We are not picky.

Our room smelled like cigarettes and after investigation we found a bowl of cigarettes under our bed. It looked like I needed shower shoes in the shower, the bottom was dirty and brown. The floor made my socks black!! I have never felt more dirty and I wish I could’ve stayed anywhere else. Also, I don’t think the bedding was changed because I found hairs in the sheets and pillow cases and our soft blanket had holes in it, some looked burnt and some looked ripped. All that being said the lady at the front desk was wonderful, polite and made great conversation!

TransAmerica tour stop for the night. Hot water is the best out of my whole tour. Ghetto people hanging outside ALL night and next door room people hanging out with door open. Cigarette smoke floating into my room. Lots of stores and food close by. Friendly staff.

Just passing through. Good, inexpensive hotel, no frills. Fast food available next door and across the street. Why is the pool closed mid-summer?
