A Disappointing and Unsafe Experience at Motel 6 - Glendale I reserved a room at Motel 6 in Glendale for July 16, 2024, expecting a comfortable stay. However, my experience was far from satisfactory. Upon arrival, I was immediately greeted by the overwhelming smell of marijuana permeating the hallways and even my assigned room. This was not only unpleasant but also unprofessional. To make matters worse, the door to my room, along with several others, appeared compromised, raising serious safety concerns. Feeling unsafe, I promptly notified the front desk and checked out. Despite clearly communicating these issues, the establishment refused to acknowledge the conditions, failed to document my complaint, and unjustly charged my credit card. They even made false claims that I stayed at the location, disregarding the evidence provided to the contrary. I strongly advise against patronizing this business. The lack of accountability and disregard for customer safety are unacceptable. In addition to this review; I have sent formal letter sharing my experience to their Motel 6 corporate office regarding this matter. It is crucial to choose accommodations that prioritize its guests, comfort and security, and unfortunately, Motel 6 - Glendale does neither. 👎🏾

This is the loudest place I've ever stayed. The doors seem to be too big for the frames because they take an unreasonable amount of muscle to open or close and doing either sounds like a bomb going off. I woke up with a start every few hours because someone nearby had to close their door. The first room I was given hadn't been cleaned, the second one has peeling trim in the bathroom and the shelving under the sink (which is outside the bathroom) is crumbing. No overhead light and only one of the side table lights worked. Had to get new key cards twice because the ones I had stopped working but was never asked for ID to prove it was my room. No fridge or microwave and no bucket for the ice machine. The wifi was excruciatingly slow. On the plus side, everyone was friendly and helpful and checking in and out was fast and easy. The TV and cable worked. No roaches or bedbugs that I saw. The AC was ice cold.

House keeping and Management is good. My room was clean upon arrival. Thank you WT. however many of the front desk Ladies were very very rude, disrespectful and just plain unwelcoming && unprofessional. Any time we asked for anything for our rooms they behaved as if it was a burden to retrieve simple things like tissue or Garbage bags. Specifically the 2 lighter skinned ladies. They often times refused to look at us while we spoke to them or they wouldn’t respond at all. I suggest finding a more welcoming face for your front desk. Other than that the 2 young black men,, White Gentleman and General Manager provided us with AMAZING service. Definitely made our stay way more tolerable

Maria is an awesome staff member. She's always been polite and helpful. She's easy on the eyes. And she always ensures the guests are comfortable. Come to this location because the staff will not let you down!!!!!

All I wanted was a night of restful sleep...and I got it. I expected clean and it was super squeaky clean. I wanted a comfy bed ....and I had one. I need to warm it up a bit to suit my taste and the HVAC worked perfectly. Everything in the bathroom was in good shape and functioned perfectly in the morning. The price was right too. Thanks Motel 6.

Upon arrival the front desk lady was on the phone the entire time with a friend. While checking into the room we had to sign a paper that said we had 15mins to determine if we wanted to stay or had issues with the room, complete turn off already. The rooms are nothing special, broken/splintered head boards, chipped paint, stained worn out carpet. We couldn't get the TV to work as the remote needed to be reprogramed every time the TV turned off. To get staff to actually fix the TV took 3 calls to the front desk that went unanswered and a walk down to the lobby plus then waiting for someone to be able to actually come to the room and fix the TV. While in the lobby I heard a women rudely complaining to the front desk staff that her sheets were dirty as she had just checked in. The bathroom sinks are incredibly lower than most normal hotels/motels and there was no refrigeration in the room. The key for the door would just stop working and waiting at the desk for the staff to come around again was time consuming. I wouldn't recommend and wouldn't book here again.

I give this place 2 stars just because it was quiet. Other than that I’ll just say this. I’ve never been to ANY place that charges $200 per night that would not offer soap!, has TV with broken remote and customer service that ignores it, clogged sink and entire place so humid that sheets stick to your body all night

I stayed here for 3 weeks with my daughter. The first or second day of my stay, I was bringing in my InstaPot & and one of the workers who’d been standing outside gossiping about non-work related things all day stopped me and said “You can’t bring that in here” with the nastiest attitude. She said it was a fire hazard because a fuse could blow & when I asked if I could use a surge protector, she told me to ask the manager. I asked where the manager was & she said inside in the office, so I went to the front desk & asked where the manager was (obviously frustrated because who talks to somebody like that). One worker was asking me which manager I needed & I’m like - whichever manager is on duty (how would I know which manager to ask for. Its a pretty straight forward question) which frustrated me even more and I told her I just needed to ask a question since the people that work there seem to have an attitude. Another worker walking away said “its just a question” and I asked who was she talking to - me??? She said yeah & I voiced my frustrations again because why do all the employees act like somebody peed in their cheerios??? By the time I finally found the office and was trying to ask the manager my question, the first worker bombarded me and walked in to talk over me and explain her version of what happened. The manager stood by the employee & there seemed to be NO regard to how I was talked to at all. I said okay fine, continued my stay and followed all of the silly rules they had. Throughout my time there, I had to ask for housekeeping 3x (which is a service only extended upon request even though the policy they want to uphold so badly says its done 2x per week), just to get them to come in and change my sheets, I’ve had housekeeping slam the door in my face when asking if they will be coming to my room at all, & had to go to the front desk to get my keycards reset almost everytime I left & came back. To top it all off? I got a leak in the bathroom during the last few days of my stay, and when I brought it to their attention I was told I had to collect all my belongings to go to another room. Guess what… That room had mold. Icing on the cake is that somehow I’m banned from the hotel because of me asking about an instapot & being disrespected which happened early in my 3 week stay… If I was such a disturbance it would have been logical to kick me out when the situation happened, but I assume their real issue is me filing a complaint with corporate on them. Not that it matters anyway. There are constantly 5-6 employees (not housekeeping) on the clock that seem to be doing nothing but gossiping and being as rude as they can to guests. There are two men that are nice and the lady that comes in at night. Otherwise, you’re likely going to catch them on a bad day. My daughter being the social butterfly she is even asked the same curly haired employee that wanted to get slick with her “its just a question” comment if she liked her job. She told her no. That explains a lot. The hotel really needs to be shut down so somebody can come in and take over the horrendous repairs that need to be done & clean out the staff they have for either professional development or to be replaced because the way they’re running things is not it. Unless you were like me and just grateful to have somewhere to sleep while going through a tough time (an agency paid for me), DON’T book here. Oh! And the housekeeping manager asked me about doing a review for them… I assume to rate the housekeeping services. When I told her I’d rather not because my review wouldn’t be nice, she became aggressive and kept saying stuff I couldn’t understand because of her heavy accent. I was done w the convo and she KEPT coming back around my personal space to make eye contact and say whatever it was she had to say. I just smiled and didn’t respond since I couldn’t understand her anyway. But finding out I’m banned from the hotel…. Well here’s the review you wanted so bad. 🙂 The front desk is unprofessional. Housekeeping is unprofessional & hotel is disgusting.
