Motel 6 Merced, CA - North - Featured Reviews (908)
While the room did not look terrible it was very filthy… saw MULTIPLE not just ONE cockroach on the headboard, wall, floor, bathroom…. I know it isn’t the hotels fault but may be to unhygienic people staying here not sure but it was very gross seeing multiple… we also had a lot of trouble with our door and it getting jammed and taking forever to open. Although I wouldn’t stay here again due to what seems like a roach infestation the staff was friendly overall!
My recent stay at the Motel 6 in Merced was a dreadful experience, primarily due to the appalling behavior of the staff. On a recent trip, my younger brother and I were subjected to a highly unprofessional and intrusive encounter that left us feeling unsafe and unwelcome. At 1 AM, long after we had checked in and settled down for the night, we were jolted awake by an aggressive knock on our door. To our shock, it was a woman who worked at the motel, demanding to see our passports. Despite having already provided my ID during check-in, she insisted on seeing additional identification. Her demeanor was extremely rude and hostile, making the entire situation even more distressing. As tourists unfamiliar with the area, this aggressive intrusion was not only unnecessary but also intimidating. We were given no explanation for this sudden demand, and the staff member's lack of professionalism and courtesy was appalling. This kind of behavior is unacceptable at any time, but especially so in the middle of the night when guests expect to feel secure and rested. The management of this Motel 6 needs to seriously reconsider their policies and train their staff on appropriate customer service and respect for guest privacy. Our experience was deeply unsettling, and we would strongly advise other travelers to consider alternative accommodations where they can expect a more respectful and secure environment. Stay elsewhere if you value your peace of mind and a good night's sleep.
It’s very standard for a more 6 in terms of luxury, but the rooms are clean and the staff was nice. We got in at 1am and felt safe while spending the night here if you are super noise sensitive be aware that this location is right next to a freeway so it’s pretty loud all night. But for the price you really can’t beat it & this is one of the best motel sixes I’ve stayed in before
Talia is at the front desk and Yes she leaves the light on. They have a clothes closet they started for the homeless, the vets and everybody that walks through their facility. The laundry hardly works The ice machine is always empty. The soda machine is always willing to take your money 🤑 but no soda..
great front desk staff (Talia) She was great ! I recommend if you just wanna stay a night or two I would get a double bed only so you have a little bit more room . their rooms are very clean very tidy. I definitely would come again and recommend family and friends.
They moved to set up a room at 8 o'clock in the morning 3 hours before we were supposed to be checked out there was a problem and my room and some other rooms got flooded we were told the night before that we had to check out at 11 we understood and then at 8 o'clock in the morning they came into our room and started to bag it up our stuff as far as I can tell that is against the law and I think that they broke the law during that I'm thinking about taking litigation and doing something about it 0 they were horrible to us. it wasn't even my room and I was a guest and I was put on a 3 month ban list My name is Michael Eyring I'm a former marine so I stand by my words with honor Thank you thank you
My stay was absolutely Fantastic! no microwave and fridge but other than that it was a marvelous experience.
Fair establishment. Room was cleanish, no frills, loud, trains running throughout the night, semi's servicing costco, nextdoor, backing in as early as 3 am. Not a restful place to sleep
