Motel 6 McGraw, NY - Cortland - Featured Reviews (152)
Dump! Don’t stay here, this motel is gross! Motel is extremely dated, has a weird smell that you can’t get out of your clothes. The room is the size of a ballroom with no furniture except for the bed and a table holding the tv, the A/C unit sounds like a Boeing jet plane. Spend a little more and go elsewhere, this place is not worth a penny!
Positive: The bathroom was clean but crowded.the mattress was comfortable. The woman that checked us in was pleasant and helpful when our tv wasnt working. Negative: It was hard to sleep because the doors slam when other guest close them..the walls were thin and we could hear the people in the next room even though they werent especially loud.. Although the room looked clean our bed spread had visible stains. Negative: ""
Nice property for the value.. Rooms redone in 2023. Clean and smelled fine. Close to SUNY and food. The manager is very nice and accommodating. My 4th stay and it's my go to motel in Cortland.
Beautiful location. Very relaxing. Clean. Staff is very welcoming. Traveling with a dog and this was very comfortable
A great place to stay when in the area. We had a great room! Recently refurbished and CLEAN! Room was warm and cozy and provided us with great comfort for our 2 day stay. When in the area next year we will definitely book a room here.
They did a fairly complete overhaul of the rooms over the past 2 years....a significant improvement. The rooms a pretty, and beds comfortable, if a bit spartan.....I'd give the Hampton a 4.3 and the Motel6 a 4.0, but given the price difference, the Motel 6 wins. Great location off of I-81.
I have been to this motel for an annual event nearby for 25+ years. Since Mannish taken over, he has done a nice job of updating the rooms by removing carpeting, painting, and refreshing the linens and look of the rooms. It’s comfortable, it’s clean, and the staff are friendly.
Checked in to immediately see 2 bugs scurrying on the wall when we turned on the lights. Eew! Asked front desk clerk where a good spot to eat was and he mumbled "I dunno. I use door dash." Not too helpful, buddy! We stayed for 4 days and our neighbor in the adjoining room (who apparently lives there full time) sang at the top of her lungs 20hrs/day. I kid you not. Visions of Simon Cowell cringing, danced in my head. Crumbs were left on the floor after housekeeping services were received. Struggled with the card key constantly getting into the room. But the bed was comfortable and it was conveniently located, so it wasn't a total loss.
