Motel 6 Marshall, TX - Featured Reviews (329)
My experience was absolutely horrible. I ordered the rooms online because they were the only rooms available in Marshall that particular night. When I ordered the rooms, I did it online. So when we made it back late at night, no one was at the window. We had to wait over 10 minutes. We beat on the windows and the doors. Eventually, a guy came from the back, and was already rude. He was asking for a drivers license and a credit card. So I kindly asked him A few questions just out of curiosity and concerns. His response was that I was dumb. He even cussed me out In front of my kids. The rooms were very smelly, So we tried to let them air out for about a hour and a half. Also this facility, offers no breakfast. I tried to talk to the owner, which was not there. I have left a callback number for them three times and they have not yet reached out to me. The experience may be better than the daytime, but the night was absolutely horrible.
Modest but nice motel. Perfect location right next to the highway. Perfect for a quick place to get some shut eye. Staff was very nice, The room is large, comfortable and well equipped. Fridge, microwave, nice flat screen TV. The bed was very soft and comfortable. Only one thing wrong. They didn't leave the light on like the old commercial says. 😂 Lol.
Motel 6 prides itself in being dog friendly for all well-behaved dogs. They even have a partnership with the AKC. Yet, on one of our road trips, THIS location denied us a room because our lab was "too big." This is AGAINST Motel 6 policy. AND they have a $75 pet "cleaning" fee, also not mentioned online and against Motel 6's "no pet fee" policy. This is even against policy for what they had listed online. They pride themselves in not having a weight restriction, yet, after we finally arrived after a 5 hour drive, we were turned away. We were forced to drive all the way to freaking Shreveport just to find another open, dog-friendly hotel. Motel 6, DO BETTER if you want to claim to be "pet friendly." Maybe the AKC needs to reconsider their arrangements with you guys...
This small modest hotel was clean and well maintained. The desk person was helpful and friendly, and made sure we had everything we needed. The location was perfect for easy access to local shopping and getting back on the road. No frills, but who needs that when you just need a clean, comfortable place to lay down and rest!
The bed was clean and comfy. The bathroom was the smallest I've ever seen in a motel. No morning coffee either. So definitely just for sleeping.
Room recently renovated, exceptionally clean, and bed was comfortable. Microwave and fridge. TV easy to operate. Plenty of hangars in hanging area. No hair dryer or coffee pot in room. Staff friendly and helpful.
Location inconvenient, being all the restaurants and fast food places were about a mile away. Advertised as walking distance from IHOP, but it's across busy hiway and around big construction zone. No place to get coffee in afternoon/ evenings, but plenty of complimentary coffee at 6AM. Terrific value for the price. Best small motel I've ever stayed in.
I travel with two small dogs and typically stay at Motel 6 because of its consistent pet policy at all locations. This Motel 6 is clean and well managed. The manager and staff were responsive to my requests for assistance.
ETA: A year later and experience was basically the same, except the pet area has improved. Comfortable beds and pillows, clean room, good fridge and microwave, pleasant service. Fairly quiet in the room. Not the greatest pet walk area.
Very nice gem of Texas history. Our guide was very knowledgeable and answer all of our questions. They have amazing pieces (antiques) that bring you back to the 1800 and how life and customs were at that time. They have a family fee which is great w
It's on old style Hampton and I love the new ones, but you know what - it's clean and the coffee was good, and the breakfast was fine, so I would stay there again.
