Motel 6 Marina, CA - Monterey - Featured Reviews (1630)
Staff was friendly. Check-in was fast and easy. So glad I stayed here rather than the Monterey location, much nicer area. Everything was clean inside/outside. Denny's in the same parking lot. Great for the budget minded traveler. Easy access to Hwy 101.
We stayed at the motel with our family after a day driving along Big Sur. Check in was easy and the staff in the lobby were quite friendly. The room was not too big and it was very basic. No microwave or refrigerator. Beds were extremely soft and not to my taste. There was no breakfast but they did offer some coffee to go in the morning which was nice. The motel is conveniently at a short walk from a Wal-Mart. All in all, a good place to stay for a reasonable price, albeit with no luxuries.
Great example of "you get what you pay for". Rooms weren't anything special and had a few ants. Never got the wifi to work. When we got there at check-in they said our rooms weren't ready and to come back in an hour. Thankfully they just switched us to 2 other rooms so we didn't have to wait. The location is phenomenal, just a quick walk from the beach.
They are still using COVID as an excuse to not put out basic toiletries while allowing websites to advertise the rooms as fully functional. Such a bait and switch. The room was dirty, and the owners are cheap and rude. Just because you own a business doesn't mean you should be doing customer service. Never again!
Booked this place last minute on the way up to SF. I was pleasantly surprised with especially the room and the property being clean and quiet. I did not have much expectations but it was the only hotel showing reasonable prices and availability for a last minute booking. Check in was efficient and the room was not bad. It was a bit small but we got an upgrade for a room with Microwave and Fridge. I’m satisfied with my stay majorly because of cleanliness.
Clean. Close walk to the ocean and beach. Safe. Good value.
If you're just looking for a comfortable place to sleep this is a good spot. It's no frills beyond there.
Road was a bit loud, but I just put in headphones/earplugs.
Note: no breakfast, no shampoo. Again, no frills.
The location is great, sure. Service was great, yep. Dog friendly, mmhmm. But the room and experience? Awful. There was dog hair in our blankets. When I walked barefoot on the floor, my feet had a nasty yellow/broken film on the bottom. The water pressure in the shower was non-existent. And finally, we could not sleep. We stayed over the weekend and we were kept up all night because we could hear everything--people partying, music, people showering, flushing toilets, and one dude who left his TV on all night. You'll save some money staying here, but I wish I had spent some more so I could have enjoyed the whole trip all around.
Have stayed here before and have had a overall good experience. There is plenty of parking. Located close to restaurants, the beach and Monterey.
The exterior is a bit dirty. ( Motel 6 vibe)
New security lights which are good but they are placed RIGHT outside your room and the curtain can't darken the room. Which isn't ideal for sleep conditions.
Surprisingly quiet despite being next to highway 1. Cell mates which relatively quiet 🤐 😂.
Dog friendly
Staff was welcoming.
We went on Saturday, December 16, 2023. A rare opportunity and a new way to enjoy the coastal views! We saw a local news story and checked it out because locals usually don't do tourist stuff. Electric assist pedaling was super easy and staff very n

My friends and I did the hike to the top of the Badger hiking trail within Fort Ord National Monument, it offered beautiful views of the Salinas Valley, the trail is steep in areas, make sure to wear proper shoes and stay hydrated. There is a free pa
We are in state for Thanksgiving. There was a lull day and my wife and I wanted to see a west coast sunset.
Highly recommend this location
