Motel 6 Lexington, KY - Airport - Motel in Lexington - 750 Newtown Ct, USA

We've been here twice before for BreyerFest - it was a standard Motel 6. But this year was much worse. Our sink and tub didn't drain. As in, we'd come back from dinner and it was still draining. The water would leave behind some sort of grimy black residue, almost like charcoal. Mold? Who knows?? The ice machine didn't work, the walkways were disgusting. On checkout day, we got VERY AGGRESSIVE knocks and shouts minutes after 11am from someone who wouldn't take "we'll be out in 15 minutes" for an answer. It was honestly scary and unwarranted. I had my hip braced on the door, worried they would try to force their way in to scream in our faces. We'd stayed here before for the lower price, but next year I don't think we'll come back.

The staff was nice and it was the highlight of the stay. The room was clean, but the air conditioner kept erroring and wouldn't cool off the room. We had to restart it every 30 to 45 minutes. Very inconvenient.

Service is close to none unless you ask! 1. They don't make rooms everyday, even when I asked twice already. UPDATE: After this posting, they started making rooms and providing service everyday. I appreciate that now which is why I updated my review. 2. The sheets don't seem to be clean. I saw yellow spots all over both beds Every place has positive things too: the employees are really nice when they talk to you.

Rooms are old and very run down. And not very well cleaned as was evident by the dead junebug in the dirty corner of the bathroom and the dust over everything. Not very well maintained as the front of the AC unit was falling off, the metal toilet paper holder fell out of the wall if you tried to unroll some etc . Best thing about this place is the location for price. It's close to the major highways and attractions that we could easily get around as tourists, and close to restaurants a walmart and sams for necessities. But overall its a place to lay your head in reasonable comfort.

If you're looking for a cheap, safe, clean motel experience, this is not the place. I have no idea how this place has 3 stars. This is a 1 star at best.

Absolutely DISGUSTING hotel. Couldn’t even stand to be in a room for more than 5 minutes. The stench coming from the room was absolutely horrendous. I even noticed a couple COCKROACHES on the bed. I can’t even believe someone would work at this hotel let alone manage this place. This is your sign to ALWAYS read reviews and don’t make the same mistakes I did. This hotel should be shut down immediately. If I could give it no stars I would. Wow!

Stay here for the first time it was a nice and clean room, i must say completely different room then shown in picture, photos look like old but its renovated, i recommend other to stay with good price and mattress was brand new as well so had a great sleep.

Upon arriving in the first room my wife saw a large bug run across the floor and into a hole in the wall. We called to find another hotel in town, but everything was booked. We tried two more rooms before leaving and driving another 1 1/2 hours home so we wouldn’t have to sleep here. All of the rooms had bugs, smelled of urine and cigarette smoke, had dark stains on the sheets and mattresses, and were dirty. 1 room had an AC unit that didn’t work and the other had a front desk phone that didn’t work. The door frame looked like it had been busted in and someone tried to repair it with caulk and paint. I will do everything possible to never stay at a motel 6 again.
