I would have given a higher rating, but whoever the housekeeper was (is) ruined it by NOT doing their job! It was apparently under new management when we arrived. Booked the room in advance online. The motel itself was pretty close to the Vegas Strip and attractions. When we checked into our 1st room, it reeked of cigarettes and God knows what! When I pulled back the covers and saw stains on the beds, I went and asked for the manager immediately. Bruce, the manager gave us a new room and deducted a nights charges so staying 2 nights for the price of one, helped. Also, it had a much better refrigerator and microwave than my original booking (which was odd because a room with 2 queen beds is a room with 2 queen beds, right)? Well, apparently not!! The new room was above the office on the second floor because all first floor rooms had been rented, but that is out of his control. Having had 2 knee surgeries, I always tried to request a room on the first floor- whether I got it or not was another matter. Unfortunately, there were quite a few homeless people in the parking lot and surrounding area. Having my minor granddaughter with me, this made me feel uneasy but again, out of his control. And there were homeless people throughout the area and in Las Vegas, which was disheartening. Since we were basically only needing a place to sleep, it worked out pretty well. The security guard we saw when we came back to our room the first night spoke volumes.
The only good thing about this hotel is the AC worked. Not the worst hotel we’ve ever stayed at but definitely close. I’m realizing that Motel 6 may be cheaper in some cases, it’s often not worth it. This room is a great example. The floor was, yet again, absolutely filthy. Like, do they purposefully bring in more dirt and grim when they “clean” the room? And the bathroom was nasty. Not only was it not clean but the tub faucet wouldn’t close properly and therefore loudly leaked water the whole time we were there. Not only were the indoor areas nasty but the outdoor areas as well. Trash everywhere, dog poop on the sidewalks, and only one small patch of grass to take your animals. I would only ever come here again if I was absolutely desperate or didn’t have car to sleep in. Motel 6, you guys need to get your stuff together.
Receptionist was fantastic and super welcoming. She really made us feel at home. That being said. She's the only thing keeping up the good reviews. Room hadn't been cleaned. One towel for a two bed room. No soap. The bathroom looked like an abandoned rest stop and there were literally vomit stains on the floor or something. Brown goop in the bed.
If you're thinking to yourself "it can't be that bad, I've stayed at motel 6 before" - It can be and It IS. There is a reason you save $50 a night here. Metro was there when we pulled in, apparently very regularly. Paid over 90$ to stay in a room that was filthy, smelled so strongly of cigarettes I went through half our moving boxes just to be able to light a candle. The bed was literal trash with a body sized hole all the way through. There's no way they don't see how messed up the bed is when "cleaning". The bathroom was sticky and the tub had at least 10 cigarette burns. Just spend the extra money and move along past Boulder hwy.
I would give this place negative stars. I only managed to stay in the room about 3 hours before I couldn't take it anymore. There was hair in the bed and on my soap. I saw a bug that I was worried was a cockroach and we ran out of there. Horrendous. Random people were just hanging around outside. We didn't feel safe. We only picked this place because I literally couldn't find anything else. Horrible horrible decision. Stay away!!
Our bedsheets had crumbs in them. Some of the lights weren't working. The outside was kinda sketchy. Lots of homeless people loitering and everyone around looked methy. The guy checking us in made comments and called me gorgeous, which made me feel really uncomfortable since he has access to keys to rooms and I would not have stayed if I had other options. I didn't see any roaches though, so that's good.
Was on a budget this week, so I tried this. Ya get what ya pay for! I was very late checking in: 11pm. So I’m assuming that i received the last available room, a handicapped room. Tammy at her front desk was a sweet heart. But as for the room. I’m happy to be leaving Friday, cockroaches in the bathroom, one is ground into the tile floor. I’m keeping my suitcases zipped up and everything off the floor, hoping that i fin don’t take any with me. The sheets on the bed are old, so there’s many stains of various sorts, and a few pubic hairs. A little gross. And the shower is the worse mess I’ve ever attempted to use. Took me about 10 minutes to adjust the water to a comfortable temp, and then there is very low pressure out of a shower wand that MUST BE handheld, doesn’t stay on the wall. But, other than that, it’s quiet Update: could not deal with the shower or the roaches any longer. Went to the desk and asked for a different room (not received well) . I was given a room in the bank of the motel, which was the nastiest smoke Smell, but after a bottle of febreeze and a half can of glade, left the door open for an hour with a/c on blast, the smell was tolerable enough to sleep. Other than that, this was a much better room, clean, it’s a pretty quiet place
What a $h it hole. ||I’ve stayed in a lot of crap motels in my life but this is the first time I’ve had the pleasure of paying $300 for the experience! ||I guess there’s a convention in town so they jacked the prices up. ||The room smells like an ashtray and that’s probably the nicest feature. ||There are some pens and a note scribbled on a piece of paper on the “vanity”||I’m not quite sure if they cleaned the room or changed the linens between guests. ||Oh well. It’s only for one night. ||On the plus side, the AC unit is relatively quiet.
