Motel 6 King Of Prussia, PA - Philadelphia - Motel in King of Prussia - 815 W Dekalb Pike, USA

I'm gonna say this it's motel 6 but I had to stay for the entire summer to switch housing... but I must say the owners are diligently working to upgrade and preserve this business. Most of the rooms are standard and some upgraded. The maintenance crew is her daily working during the day and it's peaceful. Service the staff are all wonderful especially the reception area and to the gentleman who keeps the grounds clean daily doing trash and upkeep. Location is prime for shopping and dining so if whether you want a quick trip or longer for a reasonable rate this is it. It has been an absolute pleasure to be here and watch them work. I will be back again just cause. **Also remember the place is under construction they are constantly updating it.** also they are pet friendly without the fee....

The renovations that they are doing is really bringing the place up to par. The front desk is very nice and when you need something they always try to help you out. Housekeeping cleans my room very nice. I will definitely come back here again..

Positive: It was close to where my daughter attends college. It was very clean, and they were doing a big clean in the morning. I liked the little sitting area and table in the room. Negative: The room lacked all comfort-even the bed covering was thin, although clean and in good condition. There was not even a box of tissues. It was concrete walls and odd colors. Negative: ""

The first room we were checked into smelled like cat urine, but we were promptly moved to a fresh smelling room. Unfortunately this room didn't have the fridge we requested, but the extra deluxe charge was removed from my bill at checkout. It was also very convenient to get only 10 minutes away from the expo center, which we were working at. All in all, this place served its purpose perfectly.

Positive: The proximity to the Expo Center. Negative: Yes, the back door by the pool is broken, so it doesn't lock. The beds were very uncomfortable & pillows flat. Bathroom water pressure was nonexistent. Door knob of bathroom was falling off when we arrived. Room smelled like jerky. There were no tissues. Negative: ""

Electrical outlet in the room completely burned and melted. Non smoking room reeks of cigarette smell. Baseboards completely removed exposing holes in base of walls in entire room. Base of wall in bathroom covered in mold. Bathroom vent fan completely clogged with dirt and fuzz. Entire back parking covered with trees that were cut down limiting parking. Security door locks don’t work anyone can access entry. HORRIBLE HORRIBLE HORRIBLE!!!!

I want to make this as quick as possible, but be fair. If you were to read these reviews about this Motel 6 location, you should RUN as far away as possible. But here is the thing.... Are they being reasonable and are they painting a picture that is the reality, not just their experience which could be biased or formed as a result of what they bring to the table. For example, management. I've read that management is the worse. I don't want to say these people are lying, but I can emphatically say that the management is NOT what is being portrayed. Jemmy. Jamal. Front Desk. Housekeeping. Is it something about me that makes them treat me as an exception and not be rude? Or is it possible that those who have condemned management as rude my have brought some type of energy to the table? I have seen the manager's name mentioned several times in reviews, Jemmy. If I had read all the reviews I would be scared to death of her. Which would have been misguided, because all I have received is a brilliant display of teeth in the form of a smile every single time. So why such horrible reviews? Something doesn't make sense. Again, one cannot state with any degree of fact someone else's experience, YET one must ask why.... why was that THEIR experience??? I speak with a degree of authority having been at this hotel for a few weeks. Relocating and needed a place to crash. Enjoyed my stay so much that I have stayed here for a few weeks!! Why? In life, there is opinion, there is experience, and there are facts. I will give you FACTS. The location is great as it is just minutes away by foot to one of the biggest malls in the USA, a Walmart within walking distance, Wawa, the main street has EVERYTHING you can imagine. Minutes away by car. On foot, you can get there, but it isn't the most pedestrian friendly as some have mentioned in the reviews. So when there is a degree of truth in a review, you may take the entire review as gospel. I am here to tell you that the negatives are NOT a universal fact. They simply are not. Reality vs Reasonable. This is a MOTEL 6. No disrespect, but it is marketed as a low end hotel option. It costs 70 some bucks to stay here. Let's keep it real. This is NOT a dump. The people are NOT rude. It is VERY safe. There are NOT crack heads hanging around. No clouds of weed smoke. It is NOT loud. There is NO drama. It is NOT filthy. It is NOT bug invested. I can go on and on.... You can't beat the price. The location. The workers. The safety. I can go on and on. If I am a judge in the hotel pageant, I can take 100 pictures of reasons why this place will not win the Hotel of The Year Award against hotels that cost 300, 500, 1000 bucks a night!!! C'mon be reasonable. If your experience here was bad, I don't know what to say. You have your reasons for saying what you say. But that does not mean that the place IS WHAT YOU SAY..... because factually, it is not. Sorry I have typed much more than I intended, but be fair, be reasonable, understand you paid for a MOTEL and not a private island that you rented for yourself and your celebrity friends, and you WILL be pleased with what you received from the KOP Motel 6. But then again they do have a laundry on site and one of the machines is out of service. So this hotel sucks!!! Oh and they have a pool and it isn't open yet. And it is hot as a mofo. OMG this place sucks!!! My toilet seat isn't new. As a matter of fact there is a scratch on it and as a result that part of the seat is discolored. This place SUCKS!! The mattresses are not the $10,000 ones I tried in the mall. This. Place. SUCKS. The floors in the hall are not new. Not marble. Clearly this carpet is not new. This place SUCKS!!!!! They have coffee and free tea bags and stuff for you, but no pancakes and sausage, no freshly squeezed orange juice squeezed by beautiful virgins and manly masculine men... can this place suck any more than it does???? I think I made my point.

Super fast, friendly check-in. Room was very clean and comfortable. Bed was perfect. Plenty of piping hot water for shower. Quiet building inside. Easy in/out & free parking.
