Motel 6 Indianapolis, IN - Airport - Motel in Indianapolis - 5845 Rockville Rd, USA

Me and my brother visited Indianapolis for the NASCAR race this last weekend and stayed at this location. We paid $72 for the night, which was a great rate considering it was an event weekend and I thought I was getting a deal when I booked it a few months ago. That should have been a red flag, along with the reviews I didn’t bother reading (I’ve learned my lesson). It was by far the WORST experience we’ve ever had, from the moment we set foot onto the property. There was a milkshake or something spilled on the floor at the entrance of the lobby when we arrived (that was still there when we checked out the next day). The lady at the front desk was terrible and acted like us showing up was such a bother to her because she’d rather be sitting outside smoking than deal with checking us in. We get to our room and all but one electrical outlet worked so we couldn’t even charge our phones at the same time. The TV didn’t work no matter what input we tried. There were plastic wrappers in the shower clogging the drain. The tank of the toilet leaked every time we used it and we had to use the few towels available to soak it up. While the beds themselves weren’t terrible, the pillows were basically just cloth with no filling- I went to the front desk to ask for an additional pillow and the best from earlier literally scoffed at me and told me the two pillows on my bed were plenty and I didn’t need another (“beds only get two pillows”). The vending machines were out of order. The carpets in the hallway and stairwell were stained and it smelled. There was no tiny bottles of shampoo or soap, so my brother went to the desk to ask for some and the lady was outside smoking and took awhile to help him- when she did, she laughed and told him they didn’t have any, but managed to come up with a single 1 oz. bottle of shampoo. People were arguing in the hallway all night long, aggressively. We were scared to go downstairs to check out because we could hear a lady SCREAMING at the staff from inside our room on the second floor, and when we finally did go to check out, some random lady in the lobby told us to check our bags to make sure cockroaches didn’t find their way into them. I’m the kind of person who looks for some of the cheaper rates when traveling because I’m usually on the go and not spending much time in my room other than to sleep. I understand the “you get what you pay for” concept and I don’t ever expect the motels to be the nicest looking, quietest and most comfortable. I’ve stayed at MANY Motel 6 locations in my lifetime and while there have been minor inconveniences here and there, I’ve never complained until now. Ive paid roughly the same comparable rate with better accommodations several times. I’ve always been satisfied until this weekend. It’s hard to disappoint me so it says a lot that I’m so worked up over this experience… safe to say I won’t ever be back. Based on other reviews

Literal “Hotel Hell”. We called in the previous day to let the staff know our flight was coming in late (which they said was fine). Arrived at 3:30 am from the airport to pay for a room that had not been cleaned from the previous customers and the entire hotel reeked like cigarettes. Some doors were duct taped through the hallway. Service was a mess and there was no one to clean our room. After waiting 40 minutes in limbo we got a refund and left, being forced to find a hotel in sold out conditions because of GenCon. Would not recommend!!!! Worst service I’ve ever had.

When we got here it was just to stay on the way to somewhere, the location is okay because I got to try Rally's that I've never had and I was excited about that but everything else was off. Lobby smell was terrible. Found a bug in the bed. Roaches crawling in the shower. No door for the bathroom just a fan like sliding thing (less privacy) and it's just a ghetto area. Would not recommend staying here.

The room we stayed in was filthy, when checking in, the building smelt like weed, our hotel room was not swept and felt really dusty on our feet, the walls had mold and was peeling off, the bathroom ceiling had mold, and there was bugs crawling on the floor. The beds were stiff and really squeaky. The outlets fell out of the wall. 10/10 would NOT recommend staying here unless you are in a desperate situation.

We had originally booked through Expedia at a different motel only to be told there were NO ROOMS. We weren't the only ones going through this. We stopped at Motel 6 on Rockville Rd in Indy and explained our situation. We drove down here for our son's Special Olympics Softball game for Saturday. Shinean helped us out tremendously and we got the very last room. She was very nice, very pleasant person and was extremely helpful.

The hotel room was filthy, there was mold on the wall, the floor had not been swept prior to showing up to check in, the outlet fell out of the wall, the bathroom did not have a door, and the shower was filthy and out dated it looked like they added a piece to cover up the shower floor there was also mold on the bathroom ceiling, and there was bugs crawling all over the floor. The beds were firm and not comfy at all and squeaky. When stepping out of the hotel room into the hallway it smelt like weed and would not go away. Would not recommend this place to anyone.

The whole place smells like cigarettes, weed, and urine. Not well kept. We left after a couple hours to find a better place. Probably fine for someone who's just traveling through, but for a family with two small kids...no thanks.

I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. Staying in a van down by the river would be a better and safer option. Rude staff has no idea what they are doing. Infested with cockroaches. And no housekeeping service for a 3 day stay. stay elsewhere
