Motel 6 Harrisonburg, VA - South - Motel in Harrisonburg - 3210 S Main St, USA

This was one of three Motel 6 stays over the course of a road trip with my dog. It was not great at all. The room was not renovated and it smelled musty, although I do think some of the rooms were. There seem to be many long term residents here, some of whom were exhibiting disturbing behavior. My room was located in a secluded spot in the rear and I definitely questioned my safety as a woman alone. Perhaps, my experience would have been better had I been in a spot that felt safer. I did have a problem with water in the floor upon arrival and the staff responsed quickly.

We stopped here for a quick pit stop on our road trip we figured based on the reviews it would be a decent stay. The room was dirty and had a strange smell. Stains on the bed sheets and the bathroom door had hand print stains and the door handle was falling off. Lots of flies when we first got in that we had to kill. Being pet friendly the room next door had a dog barking most of the night. The location was good close to highway. No issues with check in or out. Not somewhere we would stay again but it worked for the night.

Upon check in we entered our room and immediately discovered dirty beds. We called front desk & they didn't belive us unless we took pictures. We showed them pictures & they only gave us a fitted sheet. We have 2 beds. We stayed for at least 3 nights and requested new bed linens and towels & they caught attitude. It's crazy that we had to practically beg for new linen. The front desk agent explained that we weren't taking care of our kids(ok lol), we were terrible guests and that they didn't change the blankets or fitted sheets but once every 2 weeks EWWWWW. Knowing the price of the room and location, you get what you pay for but nobody deserves to sleep on dirty sheets or talked to in such manner when we were being polite all throughout. I recommend no stars and would not recommend staying here. This place is not family friendly. If you have children under the age of 10 I recommend staying somewhere else!

Conveniently located right off the highway. Staff was friendly and the room was clean. Unfortunately our heating system was noisy so we had to shut that off. The neighbor we had decided to kindly shut their TV off between midnight and 5:00 a.m. so at least we got a few hours sleep once the noises in the room subsided. The room we had smelled like old cigarettes as well so that wasn't very nice. Overall it looks like a good place and we probably just got bad room and bad neighbor.

Horrible experience. Booked through Expedia, when we got there the front desk guy said there was a problem on Expedia's end with the payment ( even though we received a confirmation email from the motel). He told us we need to call them but since we were from out of country neither of us had phone. We asked if we could use a phone and he said no! I got frustrated and basically told him that he better contact them because I have the email right here. After 30min of waiting we were given a room key. Room dirty and there was hair stuck all over the bed sheets so we slept in our sleeping bags.

My wife and I were really impressed with how nice everything was here. It had updated bathroom fixtures, a fridge and microwave, a very nice front lawn area with covered tables and chairs, and very reasonable prices. I highly recommend this hotel.

Felt so comfortable at this motel, especially staying on the front side facing a major & central road & hills, and near the office which felt safe as a female traveling alone, that I came back for the second time. I was very surprised at the quality and very clean and modern looking rooms, compared to other higher-cost places I've had to stay in during my recent travels, for a very affordable price. The staff was quite attentive, warm, and friendly, making my stay a pleasant one and that much better. There's a 7/11 for midnight snacks - and even a good sushi restaurant - right next door, one on each side. Also near shopping & grocery stores, plus minutes away from bars, restaurants, novelty shops, and even the library, all located at the heart of this beautiful, historic town relatively near the Shenandoah National Park. I can only speak for myself, but my experience during my extended stay here was a positive one. So if you're traveling on a budget but don't want to compromise value, I would definitely recommend it.

Very nice motel for our overnight stay. Staff Very nice and rooms were recently renovated. Easy on and off the interstate. Definitely would stay here again.
