Employee demanded all adults’ ids (weird). Checked us into a gross room that hadn’t been cleaned. Swapped us to another room but didn’t change our keys. The room we got at least was clean enough to smell like cleanser but there were a few bugs around. The H/C in shower was piped backwards. I guess the manager was a little gruff cause the clientele this place seems to attract. The halls stank like nasty cigars. One of the rooms had an old lady smoking at the window every.. time.. I went to the car. I never really felt unsafe. We stayed there out of desperation cause our other spot didn’t have AC. At least this place did have AC. I probably would try to book somewhere else next time I’m in the area.

If you have already made a reservation, be prepared to receive poor service from the moment you arrive. They do not give you rooms until 3:00 p.m. and do not go after 11:00 a.m. to return the room because the cleaning lady will knock abruptly and tell you that you have to leave. In my case, at 10:50 a.m. they were already telling me that it was time to leave and believe me, they did not tell you in a nice or friendly way. I WOULD NEVER GO BACK TO THIS PLACE.

If you could give this Motel 6 a zero star rating, that is what it would be getting from my family. We booked it through Expedia with a discount because of the expensive price and soon realized that the other 1 star reviews are sadly truthful. The first thing was an awful check-in with an unmotivated and rude front desk man. Then go to the room to find the doors do NOT lock and windows do NOT shut or open. Window stayed slightly ajar. Nothing about the room made it safe, as motels and hotels should feel safe, comfortable, and welcoming. This was the complete opposite. Please do not waste your money. Motel 6 does have great locations but this one in Gresham was unsafe, disturbing, and does not have any good intentions of a good overnight stay when traveling. All we needed was a safe place to rest our heads for one night and did NOT feel easy with the first step into the room. If they tell you they will cancel with a refund, do NOT trust they will. They will put another guest in the booked room, recharge your card, and not inform you of the expenses charged AGAIN. Because they did NOT refund as they had stated, we will be going through Expedia to see what we can do. Please do better Gresham Motel 6.

There is something very strange about the way the people who manage this place conduct themselves with customers. It's way past the point of normal.....somewhere in the Twilight Zone. Read all the 1/5 comments....they all center on one theme..."customer service". Earlier this evening, I too had a mind-boggling encounter with the office clerk. I asked if the outside window registration was temporary. She said the lobby was being "renovated". I suspiciously asked how long it had been under renovation - six months? She ignored me. When it came to signing on the electronic pad, I asked "What am I signing?" Her temper (I swear I'm not exagerating) started flaring up, "Just sign it!" When I hesitated and reiterated what I was signing, she immediately told me that she was canceling my reservation, and that I'd have to call the online service to request a refund. It was so weird that I thought this was some kind of act....but it wasn't. Anyway, I wasn't in a position to have to book another hotel, so I took a chance and took the room. The room was actually clean, I have no complaints about that. However, when I went to use the shower, there was no hot water. I let it run for quite a while, and the water only became tepid - slightly warmer than cold. So, I called the front desk, "Where's the hot water?" Same lady replied, "If you turned it all the way to 'hot' and it's still doesn't get hot, there's nothing I can do for you." Think about that. You pay nearly $100 for a room with no hot water. I said, "If it doesn't get hot, I am leaving and want my money back." She shot back, "You already used the room, and you're not getting your money back." Then "click", she hung up. The good thing is that I did let the water run longer and eventually the water started getting hot. But, consider what kind of people you're dealing with here. Also, notice on each 1/5 rating that the owner always states that they're "sorry" and that they're "....working on improving.." Yet, here they are one...two....three years later with the same rude employees.

I recently stayed at one of motel 6 here in Oregon. The location is in Gresham. I was using the bathroom mirror and noticed a tiny circle in the glass and when I looked closer and flashed my phone light on it I noticed it was a camera you can clearly see a lense and from the flash of my phone a blue light reflects off it. I filmed it and I have it saved. When I contacted the office the employee and maintenance came to look and were so adamant that it wasn’t a camera the maintenance was very rude and was angry that he had to reassure me that it wasn’t he tried to take the mirror off the wall but was huffing and puffing the entire time and said not to worry about it because he said under his breath if I break this mirror we’re gonna charge him all because he thinks it’s a camera. I know what I saw and clearly my phone doesn’t lie I recorded what was there. They could’ve offered me another night for free or could’ve refunded me.

Jesus from this location is rude, sassy, had an attitude as if he didn’t want to do his job. He lied and said he didn’t have any rooms to my husband. When I went to check in with the reservation all of a sudden they had a room. And he said he wasn’t going to argue with me to go somewhere else because I questioned why he told my husband he didn’t have any rooms. I told him he is refusing service because I asked why he said that because I wanted to know if he in fact did have a room. Don’t waste your time! I should have went with all the other reviews.

Workers argue and threaten to dnr you if you forget something and politely ask if you can check or if someone can check the room for your item. Most of them always have an attitude no matter how polite you are.

The hallways that you walk through to get to the rooms were dirty and had a real grimy feeling to them, in addition to being very poorly lit. It was noisy and hard to get a good night's sleep. The bathtub looked filthy, although after I took a closer look it turned out to be just scratches and stains. The bathtub plug didn't work, so in order to fill it up for a bath, I had to use my sock as a stopper. There wasn't enough towels, we were in a room with 2 queen beds and there was only 2 bath towels, a floor towel, a hand towel and a washcloth, and to make matters worse the towels were rough on the skin, and also looked dingy and dirty and gross. I ended up using my t-shirt to dry off instead. The front desk staff that worked late night was very cold and did not give a very welcoming or helpful energy. Overall, he just gave so-so service, nothing overly horrible, but nothing all that great either. The worst part of the stay happened the next morning when we were getting ready to leave. I confirmed with the front desk that morning that check out was 11am. I didn't even request a late check out like I usually do whenever I stay at a hotel. Despite this, not only did the maid come and knock on the door at 10am to confirm we were checking out, but again at 10:30am and AGAIN at 10:45am and AGAIN at 10:55am! The front desk also called the room twice. It was very frustrating because like I just mentioned normal checkout time was 11am and they did not stop hounding me from 10am on about leaving. On the plus side, the heater worked great and we were able to get warmed up fast, which was a wonderful thing after our car broke down on the side of the highway.

This was a recommendation and it did not disappoint. The staff is so friendly and attentive. I was undecided between the traditional goat or beef. They were so helpful and offered a sample so I can decide which to go with. I would definitely recommen
