Motel 6 Grants Pass, OR - Motel in Grants Pass - 1800 NE 7th St, USA

Checking in took ages and was complicated. The staff are unfriendly. Our first room was not prepared even we had made plans and settled our bill before hand in person. The room we eventually stayed in was small and cramped. Not only are there no amenities, there isn't a single drawer or are to conveniently place anything. The floors were dirty enough to stain our socks and our dogs feet (and our own) left dirty prints on the bedding. We were there for around two weeks in order to visit family. Housekeeping came twice after we called them. They stated they are short staffed and would try to get to it the next day. It was raining, dreary, and cold for this time of year. They would not allow my Aunt to stay in the room and made her sit outside and hold her dog. The dog is being fostered and has been extremely sheltered. She was terrified and tried to hide. My Aunt has bruises, scratches, and flat out open wounds from this experience. She is also legally blind, must use a walker, is a very brittle diabetic, and has no balance or depth perception, as well a the flu. There was no compassion, understanding, or accommodations made for her. No offer of a mask for the duration of the event. The bedding does not fit. The room is tacky. The mattress springs dig in. The mattresses are extremely loud and noisy. When I asked for help to connect THEIR Internet to THEIR TV service, I was ignored. We let them know the day prior that we were checking out and ending our stay early than expected. I spoke with them the day of. Checking out was also burdensome and lengthy. At no point during our stay was our bill actually explained and has unexpected charges and the cost of each night varies, although we had reserved and paid for 28 days ahead of time. We requested a handy cap accessable room and although we spoke with staff about getting one during our stay, we never did. The water in the shower did not drain. The door is very narrow and the shower itself has little room. Due to health and mobility, we were not able to actually use the shower, but washed in the sink, including washing our hair. Housekeeping was rude. The gave bare minimum effort and complained when we asked for clean towels or more toilet paper. They truly are understaffed, but it is no wonder if they treat employees as they do guests. Although Motel 6 is known for being pet friendly, there was nothing but dry grass, hot and hard dirt, and rocks for the dogs. The room felt wet and damp. The first night there, my legs clung to the bedding. It was truly an unwelcome and hard experience at a difficult time for us.

You get what you pay for in the room. But it was clean and did what it was intended to do. Our TV didn't work, which was a bummer. However the front desk attendant, Jeanette, went above and beyond in trying to help us. She came by after her shift was over to try and reboot it for us. It wasn't successful, but the effort was appreciated. She definitely deserves a raise.

We won't stay anywhere else when we come to Grants Pass.. The rooms are always so clean and smell clean. The staff is so kind and accommodating, Sandy, Janette and all of the girls at the front are amazing. They strive to make your stay as wonderful as possible. Some Of the other motels down the street could take some lessons from them on hospitality and cleanliness. I wish there were 5 more stars to give!!

Based on value, cleanliness, friendliness, safety....5 stars! I have been a travel nurse for 10 years. I avoid Motel 6 like the plague!. I have had bad experiences. But this place was impressive. Very well maintained paint and furniture. It is basic. No mini fridge or microwave but in the lobby is an ice machine, vending and microwave. Plus a pool! The room was spotless. Sheets clean. Friendly front desk staff. Staff members walking through the parking lot sweeping. And I passed housekeepers and overheard across the radio housekeepers stating they were ready for their room inspections. I felt very safe here! No scary people. I seen my neighbor had dogs and was concerned I would be awakened by the noise but I haven't heard a peep. Some noise from upstairs but it is occasionally light noise. A/C works good Mattress isn't very soft but it's decent. Water pressure in shower is medium. Shower got hot and lasted the whole shower (20 minutes). Staff wseemed happy to help anytime I asked for anything. They seem to like their job!

My family and I were visiting Grants Pass from Southern California, we had checked into the motel for a week. (for such an awesome price!) I will say, the residents walking around the motel are a little sketchy, but the staff and the motel itself is very clean and nice. One of the persons who were staying in the room next to us was following my mom around pretending to be on the phone. Other than the sketchy people, the staff is really kind and they have good service. The lady at the front desk, I can’t remember her name, but shes an older lady. She was awesome! The best motel staff I have ever interacted with. I rate this motel a 5 star based off of cleanliness around the pool and motel itself, I also rate it based off the 10/10 service. Oregon was really beautiful, couldn’t have made it without the affordable stay at this motel. Would definitely return again!

I would like to say thank you to the Grants Pass Motel 6 for an awesome experience. I am a night shift nurse who travels in from out of town. I needed a room to sleep in for a few hours before and after work. They gave me a one hour late check out and the room was simple clean and perfect for when you don't need anything but some sleep and a shower. I will stay here again. Thanks to the lady Jeanette who checked me in and arranged the that extra hour of sleep for me.

First time to stay here, but we'll definitely be back! Super friendly staff, clean room with a nice bathroom, as well. The best price in town without sacrificing a thing!

Eve is one of there best employees. Always goes above and beyond to help with any of my needs. The entire staff is one of the best out of all of the Motel 6’s I’ve stayed at. Kudos to that team.
