If your looking to save some money finding a place to stay to check out either San Francisco or Monterrey Bay this is the Motel 6 to stay at. It is more affordable than staying anywhere in Monterrey, Monterey is only 40 Minutes away and You don't risk getting your vehicle getting broken into like you would staying in San Francisco, which is 45 to an Hour away depending on traffic.
Beds and Bathroom are nice and clean they have cable tv. Since I traveled with my kiddo to both Monterrey and San Francisco we got a room with 2 beds. Both beds were clean and neat. First night and room kiddos bed was nice but mine was a little lumpy. We were only going to stay a night but when we came back from San Francisco we decided to just stay there again. Room was in the same clean and neat condition and this time both mattress bed were nice for spring mattresses.
There's WiFi and Free Coffee in the morning along with an Ice Machine and some vending Machines and a small pool. I saved over $130 a night staying here than in Monterrey and as I wrote earlier it's not a far drive if your going to check out the Aquarium, Cannery Row or Fisherman's Wharf.
I highly recommend this Motel 6!

Comfortable and clean, Jesus at the fri t desk was very friendly and accommodating!!!
Service at check in was great. Rooms were clean. Walls are not that thick, can hear when people are walking in the hallway. Air conditioner was supper low and had to be ran all day and night just to keep the room comfortable. Lots of people who live at the hotel and people hanging out outside. Would not go outside alone. TV was static and hard to find any good channels.
The room was clean, and the bed was very comfortable. The service was friendly, and the location was great

The rooms are basic. However, the bed isn't even a queen and it's onlly available with the top old used-up mattress no more than 6 inches. The base to the bed is a black painted plywood with 5 stumps, it overlaps the mattress; jail beds. YOU get this unpleasant habituate for ONLY $100+BLAH,BLAH,B....
BEDS RATE: 1 because it has at least a jail mattress.

Let me preface- i don’t stay in budget hotels - but we were in Monterey for car week- imagine a 99.99 room is 600.00 during that week- it’s all that we could find- so we checked in and went to our room- only to find out there was someone in it- that we woke up at midnight (we called for late arrival). We got to our room and the mattress cover had blood on it that could be seen through the sheets- the pillow as well- there was blood on the walls and floor- it was disgusting. The shower bathtub was scratched and old- and the towels were so small that I was surprised that they even made that size- there was nothing about this hotel that I could comment nicely about except maybe the landscaping-the room was tiny and looked like a jail cell and it was the size of a college dorm room. I was forced to stay there since there were no hotels- not even one in the area that had a room- I had never stayed in a motel 6 and heard horror stories- but was assured by friends that it would not be that bad since they have been upgraded- but never EVER again. It was everything that it was rumored to be and worse. I would have rather slept outside!
