Motel 6 Gastonia, NC - Motel in Gastonia - 1901 Broadcast St, USA

Room smelled of mildew & smoke. Found fingernails in the floor, human hair, and what appeared to be blood on the sheets. I got in late; I slept on top of bedding. It was not until second night that I pulled the bedding down to find the hair and what appeared to be blood. I asked for a refund and was told there was a no refund policy. I had to come back later that day to show pictures of my findings to receive only a partial refund. It was the most disgusting room I have every been in. The property is not well maintained, and there are many questionable people wondering the property. I do not recommend this location. I will certainly not be staying here or any other Motel 6 locations.

My flight was canceled at 10 pm. Literally everything was booked. I finally found this place, about 25 min from the airport. I arrived and my room smelled like someone pissed on the floor everyday for a week before I arrived. I am from NYC. The smell of piss is unmistakable for me. I had no choice but to stay. It was that or the airport floor. I finally fell asleep. And then at 5:30 am they started operating construction equipment like right out side my window. My new flight was at 11am but I just went to the airport at 6am because at least it wouldn't smell like pee.

After an iffy stay at another Motel 6, we were thrilled with this one. Love the front entrance only, the room and bathroom were large and beautiful with a settee cushion at the window with drawers & AC/Heat under the cushion. The fridge worked! First time our ice packs froze in a motel freezer. The young lady who checked us in around 5:30/6 pm was so helpful and sweet. (Her name starts with and S). She needs a raise! Thank you for leaving the light on for us!

This started life as a Microtel so you know how big the rooms are. It was redone and certainly up to date. It is still very basic. Everything was clean and the gal at the front desk extremely nice. Decent value. No breakfast if that means anything to you.

Just checking in and room was $80 and smells like piss.I'm staying because I'm tired. U get free coffee for mornings and no elevator (I'm on 2nd floor).I don't like putting reviews in general but really feel like I didn't get what was paid for (but who does anymore).I've booked another hotel for the rest of the week!

Everything was great except for the missing hand towel ring beside the sink in the bathroom. I understand it's probably because they get torn off the wall on a regular basis, but there has to be a solution because I hate not having a towel ring

The people are so nice. Inside rooms great safety for single travelers. Stayed at a lot of motel 6’s from coast to coast this by far was the nicest one.

Clean rooms clean lobby very nice staff and housekeeping does a great job our service dog is welcome and she loves it here as well
