Motel 6 Gaithersburg, DC - Washington - Motel in Gaithersburg - 497 Quince Orchard Rd, USA

The experience first-hand was terrible. We didn't even stay here for an hour and demanded a refund when we entered this room. We saw blood, bed bugs, roaches, and mice!!! Our room had a STRONG SCENT of cigarettes and the table was a practical ashtray. People charged us extra to enter a literal dumpster. The environment is horrible! Don't ever come here AT ALL!! Our family claims they feel 'scarred' by this experience and motel in general. The people are rude and just out of the ordinary. AND on top of all that, the area is proclaimed as dangerous. I feel personally that nobody should be here whatsoever because your money is not worth being robbed, hurt, or none of the less be put into a place in which is a absolute health hazard. I hate that nobody has ever checked up on this place because anyone could get the worst of illnesses in that sort of atmosphere and environment. This motel is absolutely DISGUSTING! Don't ever go to Motel 6. The cleaning people don't even do anything, if we came with bed bugs, ticks, roaches, etc. with blood on the bed - what makes anyone think that anyone even keeps the place clean?! This is absolutely outrageous and I suggest anybody here should refund their money from this place and let others know MOTEL 6 IS NOT IT.

I've traveled all around the world, and extensively in the US for youth sports. I often book the least expensive or lower end accommodations because the limited time we spend in the actual room or at the property. Stayed at this motel July 2024. This is for sure the dirtiest place we have every stayed at. The pictures online are extremely misleading. There is no traditional lobby, it's a small room with 3" thick bullet proof glass, and a contraption to send your ID to the clerk. When we checked in at 2am there was a guy hanging around outside, when we got our room key we observed him enter the 'lobby' and remove air tools from him backpack and the clerk examining them for purchase. No fooling anyone. Our room what completely disgusting. The room (I'm sure it's every room) had been heavily smoked in, cigarette burns everywhere you would put a smoke down. The balcony walkways had streams of water from each AC unit with thick green algae under each one. Every detail of the room was dirty, there is no way that you could stay at this place with your girlfriend or wife, zero. We paid $120/night plus taxes, you can stay at the Hilton BWI airport location for that rate. Absolutely crazy. The owners of this place should be ashamed of themselves for ripping off guests and posting the pictures they do. As far as the reviews saying this is a great place to stay and clean, those have to be fake reviews. I'm in no way an elitist traveler, but this place is an absolute dump. $275 for 2 nights, tragic. The smell of marijuana was prevalent each time we parked and walked to our room. The outside garbage cans were overflowing and trash everywhere.

Due to a spontaneous mad existence failure of my transmission, and the ineptitude of Chriswall to repair my transmission in the time promised, I needed up trapped over night on Gaithersburg. I chose to stay here rather having to walk a mile in 100 heat. I should’ve walked. The room wasn’t too bad. They weren’t great. The lock on my door was sketchy at best. Additionally, I don’t know if the rooms were given out to displaced persons who were either in recovery or simply homeless; and while no one bothered me, I will admit I did have to use extra due diligence of my surroundings. Check in was painless and easy. Staff was polite and professional, though the inch thick bullet proof glass separating the front desk from the lobby should have been a dead give away that I should have paid the extra $50 to have stayed on the other side of the highway. While my room was clean, I could imagine that other rooms as in the pictures others have posted to not be an unfair presentation with all things considered. This was certainly not a $100/night room. $50 tops. I get things are more expensive now and this is MoCo., but still; especially with the noisy neighbors next door shouting at each other for a half hour.

Filthy. Moments after sitting on my bed a full-grown healthy cockroach walked in the bed beside me. Nothing in the bathroom had been cleaned, the bathtub enamel is peeling away and the air filter looks like it’s never been cleaned. While deciding what to do, the sound of rats fighting erupted in the walls between the beds. When given a new room, it reeked of cigarette smoke. I was refunded and left. Don’t go. The place is literally vermin infested.

Stayed at this property just to get away for a couple of days .Staff is very nice and property is clean it is close to plenty of shops and its easy to get into the city for an afternoon of fun.I will be staying at this hotel in the near future just to get away.

Infested with mice is a Huge understatement. They come out day or night. Talked to the management, said "we already moved your room,but we will send some over" mind you this is the second time bring this to their attention....Nancy at Team 6 said it will be addressed. First off when and where and how much money are they taking from the county for unhoused people and their families. And why can't they use that County money in to the establishment. I am no math teacher but your not aloud to cook on property how they supposed to eat before the mice eats your food.

The staff were friendly, and the room was beyond comfortable, very clean and spacious Service was very good and the price was reasonable !

This motel is the best around they have smoking rooms which most hotels don’t and the train is actually relaxing to hear
