Motel 6 Dothan, AL - Featured Reviews (1371)
The motel is so good and very clean.Staff was very helpful, friendly, and attentive to our needs. Owners seem to care about their property. Room was clean, and everything in working order. They have new washers and dryer's that work great, new vending machine in the laundry room. There is plenty of parking, especially if you have a U-Haul or truck with trailer. The pet area is large and nice for our dogs. Would recommend.
Facility is old and remodel is a bit sloppily done but everything else was great. I stayed on my way to Florida and returned on the way back. Very clean room, all facilities and appliances worked, and bed was very comfortable. Check in was quick and friendly both times. For the price, easily 5 stars!
I came to this hotel because it was pet friendly, (no outrageous pet fees, which is a plus ) Asked for a non smoking room and was relieved to find a room that was neutral of odor, didn't smell like an ashtray (like the last hotel in El Paso) Staff was very helpful, friendly, and attentive to our needs. Motel 6 in Dothan, AL, provides a basic, no-frills accommodation option. While it is affordable and conveniently located, potential guests should be aware of the recurring issues with cleanliness, noise, and service. It may suit those who prioritize cost over comfort and are looking for a short-term stay. However, for a more comfortable experience, it might be worth considering other options in the area./
Taco does his job quickly & is very friendly - only thing 5 star about the whole place. The price is very cheap and you get what you pay for. Strong smell of mold. Bathroom had the wrong size toilet seat & lots of cigarette burns on the edge of the tub. We had to leave the room because it felt like we were breathing in toxic air. The ceiling was sagging; the ground would get wet from all the moisture in the room. I’m not sure how the health department allows them to get away with this. Police were there every night we were there. An old man passed out because the AC in his room was not working so the fire department showed up. The owners should be ashamed to park an Audi SUV outside while they leave their guests living like a 3rd world country.
My husband and I have been here for a little over 2 years now and have never had any problems. The rooms are always clean, the hotel staff is friendly and very helpful (they treat us like we're practically family), and if we ever need anything, all we have to do is ask them and it gets done. (It might take some time bc the staff might be busy, but we're patient people so it's all good 😊) Great location for easy access to PCB and any of the local stores! Perfect access to the highway and/or local hospitals (in case of emergencies 😉) Police REGULARLY patrol the Hotel, which I think is SUPER nice bc it ensures guest safety while you and/or your family are staying here ☺️ We have 2 cats that are 6-8 years old and we LOVE their Pet Friendly Policy which allows you to have "Up to 2 cat/dogs stay with you for free" (*See breed restrictions in fine print BEFORE you make your reservation to avoid problems upon arrival)
Motel was... just ok. Nothing to write home about. The bed was fine and it was clean and quiet, however, some of the towels were dirty(?). They looked like they were cleaned, but then maybe dropped on the pavement afterwards and possibly run over by the cleaning cart. Pets were allowed. That's a nice bonus! Bottom line... this had a great price for a one night stay, and it was quiet and comfortable. I think Motel 6 is trying to clean up their act. This is a start, but still has a ways to go.
This was the worst place to stay and a waste of money. We had to ask for CLEAN sheets at check-in. The "clean sheets" were not clean. I left the room earlier the next morning way before checkout and I returned to the room being cleared out. I showed the house keeper that my key works for this room and they left. An hour later, still 2 hours before checkout, the housekeeper is back with the manager on duty. He says the room was supposed to be available and demanded that I come to the front office now, while still in my pajamas. I told him I would come up there but he would not allow me to close the door. Fortunately for me, I had the receipt which had the room number, my name and the last four of my CC. I gave him the receipt and my ID and I let him see that the key works. He checked everything and simply said ok and walked off. At this point I was completely enraged. I laid all the Jesus I had in me down and went so far off that I actually met up with each of those individuals and apologized for my behavior. At check-out it was explained the dummy that checked me in, changed the room in the system. The only good things about this stay was the people that caught both phases of my fury, and yet they remained composed and understanding.
Pizza by the slice through the drive-through- yes please !! Veggie and cheese- service was super quick- staff was very friendly! Hours are a hit and miss but you know they are always open by the cars in the parking lot !! 10/10 !!!
I visit the Thirsty Pig on Friday evenings when they have live music! Itâs such a great time and they are family friendly for all ages! They also have trivia night during the weekdays.
