Motel 6 Destin, FL - Motel in Destin - 405 US-98 A, USA

Nasty! we stayed 4 nights only because of fur baby is 18 yrs old and didn't want to add more anxiety in moving . 1. The floors are nasty ! I never took my flip flops off to walk on the floor . This was after I spilt water .The towel was literally BLACK! 2. The room smelled awful! We went to Walmart to get Micro-ban to spray the beds and even we touched ! 3.Even though the water pressure was great the shower had black mildew where the tub and back of the tub met.4. They do not implement anything or offer baggies in the Dog area. It was full of poop .You could barely step.5. Self serve towel service you need clean ones bring yours to the office and get your own. 6. Very thin walls ! Now the pros: in the middle of everything 2.air conditioner worked 3. Good water pressure! 4. front desk was friendly and check in was fast. ... Just so you know I also emailed corporate.They forwarded it to the general manager and gave me 20 % off ONE NIGHT... 39.00.. paying me to clean the room maybe.. I do not recommend this hotel ! Think twice .. photos can be deceiving!

I've been staying here temporarily for about a month and reading the previous reviews it's sad but I must say I have not experienced a bad stay thus far since the time I arrived. My rooms have been decent, clean, yes some areas may need updating but for the most part this has been one of the few Motel 6 rooms that exceeded what I was expecting In a positive way. From the friendly hospitality of the housekeepers to name a few like Rose, Steph, Ms. D and the other ladies & guys, maintenence man to the front desk with jaz, Eileen and the others whom I don't know their names have been great! Also to compliment the manager Socara (my apologies if spelled wrong) have all been friendly, hospitable and great references for surrounding activities or whatever you need they help to their abilities. Of course your gonna run into not perfection but they are doing their best. Given my circumstances this was the choice I needed with my commute to work and the ability to keep my pet with me without a huge pet charge like nearby places that are in walking distance like The Edge restaurant, AJ's & Dewey Destins to name a few near The Harborwalk. My extended stay price has been as manageable to the best of my ability. I am appreciative of the peace I have here.i mind my business and stay out the way it helps keep my stay here worth every dollar I spend here. Thank you for providing temporarily housing to a working class citizen who's humble and grateful.

We are so grateful for this motel, especially the weekly extended-stay and the inexpensive rates. The staff, especially management were always helpful, they worked with us and accommodated our needs so we were able to stay until we found a place. We were able to upgrade into a suite, which had a kitchen with two stove, top flat burners, microwave, large, standard size refrigerator, coffee, maker, sink, etc. and it was so convenient. Not to mention the water pressure in the shower is fabulous in all units It was like a studio and no problems occurred around the building. I would encourage anyone looking for an extended stay to book motel six in Destin! I will even upload a couple pictures that I took right before I moved into the bigger studio from the standard room we were in

The room was dirty and nasty and we had to clean the room with towels because it was so dirty and not suitable for humans to sleep in, and didn’t look like it had been clean but the beds were good and the shower was very nice. The location was good and was near everything. But the service was not good our keycards broke and we couldn’t get into our rooms because apparently our battery to the door died but they did take care of the door quickly

Was in town for a week for work, rooms are decent but need a little more attention in the restrooms, stains on shower curtains from prior guest (those should be changed and washed each stay). The only other real complaint would be they don't screen the dogs they let stay. You'll hear dog fights and owners threatening each other most nights.. our last night we actually couldn't even load up our car while it was cool, someone walking their dog couldn't control them and the moment we opened the door the dog was lunging and snapping at us, my bf shut the door so they could go past but soon as we opened it again the dog dragged the woman back to our door and it nearly came through trying to attack us. There's a camera directly next to our room yall should seriously check that out room 255. They are lucky I didn't have my five year old with me as things would have escalated very fast. So if your here with kids don't let them play outside you never know who's in town with their out of control dog.

Stay away from this hotel! The service and staffs are ridiculous. I booked a room a day before I got to the hotel. The room was confirmed based on the email they sent me. But when I got there, the front desk told me the room was overbooked and our reservation was not confirmed due to their "system failure", which they NEVER informed me ahead of time either through phone or email. What's even more ridiculous was when we asked for a refund, we couldn't get back the amount we paid as they claimed that they only received this amount. Just do yourself a favor, DON'T ever book this hotel.

The service and location are very good. Now the rooms on the other hand are another story. They were cleaned decent but there needs to be a lot of renovation to the property. The ceiling looks like it's about to fall in. The toilet. Ran all night long. And all in all everything just needs done right. Barring the price of the room was fantastic for the area. There just needs to be a complete remodel at this location.

I’ll start off by saying the sweet guy at the front desk was amazing great customer service. Location isn’t bad you can even go walking to Harborwalk and near by stores. I paid $500ish for 4 nights it’s not a luxury hotel but why get one? When you shouldn’t even be in the hotel during vacation that’s just me. Hotel does need a lot of work….cleaning wise especially the doors my door wouldn’t open (the box where you insert the key was either dead or not reading my card) if I’m counting right I at least had to take a trip downstairs to get it fix about 5 times..we also got moved upstairs due to our first room door not being able to open and reprogram…overall amazing front staff.
