Motel 6 Denver, CO – Downtown - Featured Reviews (4022)
I have been traveling for work for the better part of 5 years. Motel6 is always my chosen way to stay. Some are good, some just Ok. Neighborhood is average but the security is good and the parking lot is more than brightly lit. This location is good. Clean rooms, Glenna at the front desk is friendly , professional and all around awesome. Would recommend to friends and will stay here again.
The room was clean and quiet, I didn’t have any problems. I stayed for a week on business, and anything that I need, they were here for me. The pool is clean too, I enjoyed it. Anytime I needed anything they always answered the phone. I will be sure to come back and stay here for an affordable rate and service! Plus the diner is walking distance and delicious!!!
I am usually an easy person and I very seldom complain. I decided to share my unpleasant experiences listed below.||||1) DIRTY||This motel reminded me of a song "Hotel California" when two 2 inches size of live Cockroaches were on the floor when I was ready to check out. I wrapped my hand around the plastic grocery bag trying to catch them. Can you imagine they moved pretty quickly? My schedule time was running out, but I wanted to kill them before the next guests. I finally caught them. I felt itchy while I was asleep. Was it the reason?||||2) NON-PROFESSIONAL||A motel front desk clerk named Taylor was very rude when I asked him to come over to my room to show me plug-in locations for iPhone, PC, Apple Watch, and CPAP. He reluctantly said OK with a big sigh over the phone. He did not realize I heard it. When he came over, I had trouble opening the room door for him. Something got stuck, and I could not get it open. We tried and it finally opened. He was agitated at me and repeated a couple of times I was the only person who was having trouble doing a simple task and I was stupid. ||||3) UNRELIABLE||I requested a Wakeup call when I checked in. I saw him programming my request in front of me, but the call never came. I had a very strange feeling about this guy and set up the wake-up alarm on my iPhone after he left my room. I think he was angry and he decided to set up a sabotage I would not make the appointment. He probably removed the wake-up program. He was not kind and helpful at all. ||||I am sharing this if you have to catch an International flight.
Human Team: The staff at Motel 6 Denver, CO – Downtown are very courteous and helpful. They are always ready to assist with any inquiries or issues, making the check-in and check-out process smooth and efficient. Their friendly demeanor is a definite highlight of the stay. Hotel Condition: Unfortunately, the hotel itself is quite old and shows visible signs of wear and tear. The rooms and common areas could benefit from significant updates and maintenance. Issues such as outdated decor, worn-out furnishings, and occasional maintenance problems detract from the overall comfort of the stay. It's clear that the property is in need of renovation to meet modern standards. Safety of the Area: One of the major concerns is the safety of the surrounding area. The neighborhood does not feel particularly safe, especially at night. There are frequent reports of suspicious activities and a general sense of unease when venturing outside the hotel premises. This aspect can be quite unsettling for guests who are unfamiliar with the area. Overall Experience: While the staff's dedication and helpfulness are commendable, the overall experience at this Motel 6 location is hindered by the outdated and poorly maintained facilities, as well as the concerning safety of the neighborhood. For those considering a stay here, it might be worth exploring other options in Denver that offer a more secure and comfortable environment.
I recently booked a weekend here with Motel 6 at Denver, CO. After driving 12 hours and arriving here, I was immediately greeted and helped by the lady at the front desk miss Jamie. She helped me do a quick check in as I was tired and ready to rest. She answered all my questions faster than I could ask them. Really happy with the customer service here, making me feel welcomed. Also the rooms and bathrooms looked nice and clean!!
I'm a big fan of Motel 6 in general, and the Motel 6 Downtown Denver was great. Yes, it could use a bit of sprucing up of the exterior floors, but the rest of the exterior was bright and cheerful: Bright white with orange trimming on the bottom edges of the balcony floors, with blue doors to the rooms -- the colors of the Colorado State flag. At the entrance there is a lovely painting of the Rockies and the letter C, again in the colors of the Colorado state flag. And the wall behind the beds in my room was painted in a dark orange, the color of the C in the flag. Little touches like that show the care the owners take to make the Motel 6 aesthetically pleasing in a simple, effective way, and to make this a Colorado Motel 6! My room was spacious, clean, and surprisingly quiet, given that the motel is only yards away from Route 70. The staff were friendly and helpful. Honestly, I would rather stay in a Motel 6 than in most fancy corporate hotels -- there's something just more down to earth about the place, relaxed...I feel like I can "disappear" for a while at a Motel 6! And...although Route 70 is not a great place to walk given the busy traffic, there are a number of nice, Denver-only places to get food, including McCoy's Family Restaurant, just across the parking lot, a real locale's place where I met the chef, a lovely guy...and a place to buy fresh donuts, Winchell's. Can't get THAT in NYC, where I live!
Upon my arrival in Denver, I made the decision to book a room at Motel 6, drawn by my previous positive experiences with the chain's affordable accommodations. However, my recent stay at this particular location turned out to be anything but pleasant. Within just 48 hours of checking in, I encountered a series of concerning issues. Firstly, I discovered that the fridge in my room was leaking, leading to a considerable mess. Additionally, I was dismayed to find obvious lipstick stains on the pillowcase and remnants of long hair on the bed, which made me question the cleanliness of the linens. To add to my disappointment, there were only two towels provided for the entire duration of my stay, which proved to be quite inconvenient. Moreover, the bathtub had drainage problems, making it difficult to take a shower comfortably. Furthermore, I experienced challenges with the Wi-Fi service, as it was changed without any prior notice. This forced me to walk down to the front desk to inquire about the issue, which was an unnecessary inconvenience. The issues didn't end there; I also encountered problems with the cable service. The condition of the property's maintenance was also unsatisfactory. I found broken washing machines, which explained the shortage of towels, and even noticed loose screws on my door, making it difficult to close securely. This led me to believe that the property's management and maintenance were not up to par. In addition to the issues with the facilities, I also observed signs of negligence in the treatment of the staff. It appeared that they were overworked and likely underpaid, which is a reflection of poor leadership. Despite my frustrations, it's important to note that I did not have any issues with the staff themselves; my concerns lie with the overall management and upkeep of the property. Regrettably, this experience has left me with no choice but to refrain from booking at any Motel 6 in the future. I intend to bring these issues to the attention of the appropriate parties within the company, as there are clearly areas in need of improvement.
First off I was charged twice, but it was for a single day. Not the two that I was supposed to have. No refrigerator or microwave in room. Amenities were horrible. Bed is very uncomfortable. The hot water would not work in the shower.
