Motel 6 Columbus, GA - Downtown - Motel in Columbus - 1325 Veterans Pkwy, USA

Very very basic place, check in staff are not too friendly, paint spots in bathroom, just cheap! My first stay at Motel6 since the Pandemic. Now they don’t even offer coffee any longer! Location is ok. Warning in the elevator that there are cameras everywhere… My goodness, in Columbia GA?

Location was great. We knew were staying at a low budget hotel and appearance wise it was better than expected. The noise from traffic was to be expected and we had absolutely no issues with other guests. The man at the counter however is the reason I will do everything possible to avoid the hotel again. There is no reason to treat people poorly.

It's been calm and quiet. Restaurants and gas stations within the same block and approximately a 5 minute walk either way. The young lady at the front desk is very nice and knowledgeable. *Updated* Even though they had me to check out of a room I've been in since Thursday at 2:30 pm with 7 bags to sit in the lobby until i could figure out how to make the payment due to no google pay or tap to pay option. The payment options are not updated. I sat in the lobby from 2:30 to 6:45 with all bags to be put back into the same room and it hadn't been cleaned in the 4 hours I waited in the lobby. I had no sleep in the morning due to the construction worker scraping on the window to my room and the concrete outside the door.

I have stayed at the Motel 6. On veterans Parkway multiple times I've always paid my bill before I supposed to. It's a maid, always been a good loyal customer. But this time here was different. First time? I ever stayed in one of the rooms for a smoking room. I was accused of catching their bed on fire. Then stealing a Fitted sheet. In a pillowcase and he wanted to charge me $70. And all this time from the owner treat me like I was some kind of stung, like I was worthless like I was nothing said I was gonna pay his price or I could leave even though I paid for my Room 2 more days in advance. Ended deposit. I would not advise no one to stay at this hotake.|| They try to treat you like you're nothing. If your money gets lost in this navigation they do not refund you when when he's in control of it the whole time And he's only doing this because he has nobody in his parking lots. Room was very clean. Good bed, nice faux hardwood flooring, updated bathroom and sink (no shower toiletries provided though). No carpet. Air conditioning worked well. Walls felt very thin, so noise was easily heard during the night- especially people moving carts and furniture around on upper floors (not hotel’s fault necessarily, just inconsiderate&rude people). Wi-Fi, mini-fridge, microwave, and tv provided. No breakfast or coffee. Upon arrival, hotel took an additional $50 deposit and has not returned it as of several days later. This was previously unknown and not a nice surprise, especially since it has not been returned quickly. An extra $50 is definitely not worth it and is IMO dishonest since it was not announced before a refund could be gotten. Other than that, the hotel was affordable and worth it for an overnight stay, probably would want more amenities and quality for an extended stay though (at least me personally).

Loved the location room was very clean. Had to pay $100 deposit but got it back at checkout. Will be coming again wen in Columbus GA thanks again

Motel 6 is a great hotel with nice size rooms and a mini kitchen but when it comes to the services of the employees that work here. Especially the maintenance it is quite irritating. I am constantly accused of doing things, and constantly being charged for things I didn’t cause or do. My room gets walked by everyday at the same time and has even been opened and tried to walk in while me and my family were sleeping by maintenance! When it comes to our pets, they say they are pet friendly but have a small area with barely any grass for our pals to use the restroom. Someone’s dog had an accident as you can see below and it got left for days now and they tried to blame me and my dog , then tried to charge me $150 for someone else’s mistake. I’ll be damned before I pay $150 for someone else dog. All I will say there’s needs to a policy in writing for these “made up” charges , cameras for situations like that and better treatment for those who decide to bring their pets.
