Motel 6 Carlsbad, CA Beach - Motel in Carlsbad - 750 Raintree Dr, USA

I absolutely must share the details of my visit the very first night was probably the worst night I’ve ever had at a hotel. It was extremely cold the person at the front counter was robotic and cold and there was no blankets. I was so disturbed. I decided to just take a hot shower and go to sleep and speak to the manager in the morning because at 1 o’clock there wasn’t much else I could do The next morning, I spoke with the manager, Corinne she was so delightful that it made all the mess from the night before dissipate. She personally walked me to a different room that would satisfy my needs applied discount to my next night stay,. They not only left the light on for me, , but they left the heater on for me too I’m Especially thankful to the manager she went above and beyond, and made sure that she Personally took care of my needs thank you Corinne!

The room we stayed in was a little run down. The curtain was falling off the rail and had minor holes on it. Probably caused by the sun? The tub had patches on it. Towels were tiny and thin. The a/c vent smelled like stale cigarette smoke even though it’s a non smoking room. Beds were basic but comfortable. No fridge, no microwave in the room. Overall, I wouldn’t be totally against staying here again. It was a good deal and near everything we wanted to do in Carlsbad. But we’d be better prepared with air freshener /!: some cleaning/disinfectant supplies.

We stayed in room 131 for one night. The room is very small, the beds are small and uncomfortable and the shower was very dirty. There’s a space inside the shower between the tub and wall it has mold or body fluid, it was disgusting. I got up around 5:00am to use the bathroom I turned the light on and saw a cockroach by the sink. After that happened I couldn’t sleep. It was pricy for what we got. I am very disappointed on the website the photo of the hotel looks beautiful. When I went to check out the young man that was in the office didn’t get up from behind the desk that’s located towards the back of the wall. He told me to leave the card for the entry on the counter and didn’t thank me. I thanked him.

Beware of the "Excellent" reviews! The ONLY excellent part about this place was the short walk to the beach. On the day of check in we had to inform the housekeepers to clean our rooms because the front desk was too incompetent to do so! Our shower head was fixed with duct tape...duct tape! The room was dirty even after watching housekeeping clean it...unreal! Sheets dirty and gross with stains. I will NEVER stay at this hotel again. Do yourself a favor and listen to that advice!! There's other hotels in close proximity to the beach. Pay more and go elsewhere!!

The service at this motel was completely non-existent. They will not provide housekeeping service unless you request it a day in advance, but they won't inform you of this until you ask why you haven't gotten any service. Even after service is requested, they tell you that the service is not guaranteed. To make matters worse, when you request towels or even toilet paper, they make it seem like a precious commodity that is guarded under lock and key and should only be given in extreme situations. Will not be staying here again.

Staff is great and accommodating! Cleaning and maintenance excellent. |AC was out but they fixed promptly!|Environment clean , quiet and safe feeling. Great location near beaches and restaurants! Can get food delivery easy. |Would highly recommend!

Terrible overall! They gave away my room and refused to fix the situation. I have 2 little ones and drove over 5 hours to get there. On my way over there they decided to charge my card an extra night as well and when i called to ask why they gave me no answers. They have no microwave, fridge, or a coffee pot. When I requested to talk to the manager the front desk said no and talked over me. When waiting in the lobby, there was people who stayed there for 2 days waiting for a blanket. They have broken AC units and it smells absolutely terrible. I would not recommend anyone to stay there. Definitely NOT worth it.

Our rooms got flooded and the hotel didn't do anything about it. All my stuff got wet to include the beds, and they expected us to stay in that room (the front desk stated they were overpack and didn't have any more rooms). That was one of my worst experiences ever. After talking to the front desk and the maintenance guy, they said we could stay there ( keep in mind the beds were wet, and they just gave us extra sheets to cover the wet part). After talking to the manager, he was so rude and said he couldn't do anything to go somewhere else, but he would not refund any of the nights back (we were supposed to stay 3 nights).. please do you a favor and don't say in this hotel please.
