The location and price were ideal, but there was so much wrong with everything. We had roaches on our kitchenette counter, a faulty smoke detector, dust and dirt in places like behind the bed that looked as if it had been there for a time, moisture and bad humidity in the room that left clothes and bedding damp the whole time, and stains on sheet that were questionable. Morning lady at front desk was nice and helpful, night lady didn’t bother to answer the phone so we had to go knock on door and even then she acted as if our problem was an inconvenience to her snacking. The shower was the one thing that we actually liked. The water pressure and temp were great but not much else… first and last time staying. If you’re in a pinch and don’t mind roaches then go for it ..
I stayed here for about a month waiting for my apartment to be ready for move-in. Hannah, Anna, Mrs. Cindy, Hunia, and Charissa at the front desk were absolutely amazing throughout my entire stay! Each and every one of them made us feel welcome with every interaction we had. I would stay here over and over if I had to with the knowledge I now have that the staff is as friendly and accommodating as they were.
Friendly clerk and easy check-in. Room is old and worn but was clean and bed was comfortable. Toilet ran but minor nucience. The pet rest area needs to be maintained - it was NOT mowed and covered with sticker weeds - no grass at all. Very small area and totally not usable. No excuse for this neglect.
Where do I start. This is the worst place. I've ever stayed at in my entire life. This building needs to be condemned. Between people doing drugs outside and arguing and what sounds like fighting. Definitely not a place for families. My wife and I traveled here because I had some school to go to For my career and I can comfortably say I will never stay here again. We ended up leaving early and risking driving home late at night just because of how uncomfortable we were there.
Room was filthy and infested by flies. Very disgusting 🫣 smells from the room itself , other rooms and outside. I will never make that mistake again, wasting my money at this place. Not to mention insecurities... drug deals in front of our room.... really??? We were there with our families and not feel safe AT ALL!!!. Not to mention pittbull dogs all around... no 2-3, but 5-6 with the same person. We had small children... and we were scared for our safety. If you ever smell something dead... that's exactly how our room smelled.. Not even chemicals can cover that!!
They need to spend some serious time to maintain the rooms. The one we stayed in is missing a lot of stuff, like a hair dryer, clothes hangers, and a coffee maker. I know you can get them from the front desk but I was too tired to walk there that night. Also, I stepped on a live German cockroach during the one night stay there.
Room smelled like mold, then found mold on base board lining room, surfaces were not wiped thoroughly, only 1ply toilet paper, as I went to check in apparently their internet their internet of all things were down so I wasn't able to check into my room until 4 hours later mind you I had just drove 16 & 1/2 hours, pool area had pieces of glass were you walked, way 2 much moisture in the air of the room coming from A/C & bad smell from AC, you can't check in till 3:00 p.m. but you have to check out at 11:00 a.m. which makes absolutely no sense and is not right!, if that's the case check-in should be 3:00 p.m. and check out should be 3:00 p.m.!, room telephone didn't work, me and my kids had went to swim in the pool when we got out and went to the room to take our showers there was nowhere to hang any of our wet clothes so I hung them on the railing outside and the owner sent the maintenance man to tell me that I was not allowed to hang my kids clothes on the railing outside just long enough for them to dry which I thought was outrageous smh, I'm sure there are a few other things but I can't think of right now if I think of them I will come back and update my post. But I'm sure out of reading all of this hopefully people get the just of my review and avoid this motel 6 at all costs!!!... unless that is they make some serious upgrades and changes for the better to there rooms upfront and how they treat customers.. because they have lost a future customer in Me!!!...
At the time I've stayed here the manager at the time was very rude and picked on people that were down on their luck. Some of the housekeepers were really nice most valuable asset to the company is Mrs Cindy the overnight lady. It is pet friendly but make sure you clean up your dog's mess in the courtyard. There are coffee pots on The studio 6 side but no coffee pots in the motel 6 side which means you have to go all the way to the lobby for coffee in the morning. Another complaint I have is the sketchy people that come in and out since University enclosed it's become the new dope traffic hub which is scary because people bring their families here. They need to maybe get security guards.
