Motel 6 Brownsville, TX - Motel in Brownsville - 2255 Frontage Rd, USA

Its one of the cheaper options in the area for a reason. The bathroom had broken door handle and you can accidentally lock yourself inside the bathroom because of it. Also had a broken shower fixture. It had big l cockroaches in the room and what im pretty confident to call mouse droppings. There was a hole in the wall right next to the droppings. Dead cockroaches were also seen in the hallway. The mattress cover had stains on it too. The outside of the property is littered with empty beer cans and trash. The pool area has over grown weeds as well as the outside perimeter. The ice machine is so busted i was hesitant to even use it. The bug problem was brought up to the staff but no discount was offered. It is what it is i guess. Definitely will not be staying here again.

This guy place was great! It’s right off the highway and the room was exactly what we needed and my kids loved the pool. We will definitely add this as a place to stay in the future.

Where do I begin. Sign says Motel 6 Suites. NOT! Major potholes entering and exiting hotel you can't avoid. (see pics). No microwave or fridge in room. They have a community microwave in front. (see pic) No toaster but advertised one on a poster. (see pic) Hallways were HOT. The ice machine didn't work on the 2nd floor, and the soda machine took money, but no drink came out. (see pic). Stick under bathroom door (see pic), towel rack rusty (see pic). The only thing good was location. SMH!! As much as I travel, it was the WORST hotel I've ever been in. Couldn't change hotels due to the track meet that weekend.

Will be complaining tomorrow but unless you want cockroaches as your extra guest stay away filthiest place I’ve ever stayed in. UPDATE: The next day they had people go in and “clean” however, they didn’t bother to clean the dead cockroaches by the AC unit. The sheets they just fixed them even though they were stained from I assume a previous stay. We get to put room late last night and see more cockroaches on the floor but what ended it for me is that there was some on the bed. Packed up our things and asked for a refund. We did not want to stay there another night. We have a two year old so there was no way. We’ve stayed here in the past and never had issues. I’m not sure what happened but we are never staying here again. I am waiting for a refund at the moment still.

Positive: Absolutely nothing!! Horrible experience with the room and staff. Negative: There was a dead roach on the floor there was blood stains on the wall and the shower did not work. Water was coming from the shower head and the bottom at the same time. We were going to be giving another room but it was just as bad.

Came to brownsville for mother’s day. It was mine and my family’s vacation, and we wanted a hotel close to the stores. Let’s just say this hotel was in the right place! It was close to the stores, it felt safe, and the best part we got it at a great price.

Wasn't a bad experience at all. The location is convenient. I slept good AC works fine

The location stinks. Can’t access it from the feeder road when the address takes you to that spot. The roaches! The smell of mold. There’s a damp feeling when you walk into the lobby. This location has had a leak that floods a section of the first floor and just soaks the carpet and smell is horrendous! When I reported the water the front desk told me they are aware and simply told me to be careful when walking through. The rooms are far from clean. I wiped down the counters and the wipes turned brown. My allergies started acting up just being in the lobby checking in. I have never felt so unsafe. Not to mention lack of care to enforce the no smoking policy. My coffee pot was full of mold. The smell of cigarettes and marijuana in the halls was unbearable. The city of Brownsville has received my complaint. DO NOT STAY HERE if you value your health.
