Motel 6 Anaheim, CA - Maingate - Featured Reviews (4662)
What great value this motel is. The rooms were really comfortable and clean with daily cleaning service. The staff are so professional and helpful. A small shop just off reception has a selection of ready meals to purchase that can then be heated in the microwave provided in reception. Free coffee and tea is available 24 hours each day. Disneyland is within walking distance or you can get an uber for around $5. Free car parking on site too. If you are looking for excellent value accommodation then this is the place to go. I would definitely stay here again. Oh and there is a pool in a lovely relaxing area. Our thanks to the staff who were amazing.
Where do I begin? I called prior to arrival to update our arrival time as we were getting in at 0100 and make sure we would have our 2 rooms together for our family. We arrived and were told they didn’t have any rooms together and we would be on different floors. Also no extra blankets or pillows for the rooms available. We were told they are a 10 minute walk to Disneyland. So that is to the Disneyland property line. It’s actually 18-25 minutes to the security checkpoint. We get to our rooms and both smelt like cigarettes. Blankets had cigarette burns in them. The AC is both rooms was humid and either was freezing cold or barely working. They did not keep a consistent temp in either of our rooms. One room had a dirty shower and a few beetles. One room had very noisy neighbors. People were doing car repairs in the parking lot. But even with all of this, we weren’t expecting a luxury hotel. We were just hoping for a comfortable, clean, and safe place to sleep. However, we were expecting that on private property with a fence around it that our rental car would be relatively safe. We removed everything from it and locked the doors each night. When we were getting ready to leave at 0430 this morning our car was vandalized. I went in to report it and was told there are no cameras (“that gives a false sense of security”) and that “we are not liable for anything that happens, but we will check with our security guard.” It was apparent the security guard was not actively walking and watching the parking lot as we were not the only vehicle damaged. Be advised. They do not escalate issues to management and simply just told us to “file a police report and have a good day”.
While if you're planning on going to Disneyland and want just a place to sleep, this place is great. If you're looking for anything else... it's not here. The distance from the park's main entrance is a 15 min walk, which is doable. But there is no free breakfast, free coffee, a communal microwave in the lobby, and a grossly overprice self-serve store. The ice machines were rarely in service for the duration of our stay. While I was not expecting the room to be touched every day, the fact that when it was touched that things such as wash cloths and towels were not replenished when the rooms were touched was frustrating. Honestly, spend the extra money for a nicer spot unless you're on an extreme budget.
We loved the location as it was a short distance to Disneyland and California Adventure. I had 3 pre teens with me they loved the pool and hot tub. The door to the bathroom was odd it was not a door you could lock. The light in our bathroom would flicker for a while and eventually work. The shower curtain should be replaced as water leaked out so much after a shower. The beds were comfy, and the staff was great. The price was good. I would stay here again.
For being only a 15-minute walk to Disneyland, this motel's prices are incredibly cheap. Now it's a fairly no-frills motel, nothing fancy or luxury about it at all, but we had two very comfortable nights' sleeps with no issues. You can walk to the restaurants at Anaheim Garden Walk in about 5 minutes, there is a gas station and convenience store around the corner, and you can catch a shuttle to the parks from the Clementine hotel next door. Plus we were able to book an extra night with only a couple days' notice. Highly recommend if you're trying to keep your Disney budget down!
I have stayed here before YEARS ago, but just recently checked in and the room is so small. Barely enough room for a double size bed. And the window its like a a peep hole. I pretty sure this "room" was for staff or an after thought. Nothing like the rooms pictured. Never again
The staff is always wonderful when we arrive and we really feel this is one of the best values in Anaheim. Mercedes was so pleasant and helpful during our check-in this past weekend - even offering us a choice of room location due to having a few different rooms available in our type. We stay at this Motel 6 frequently, and really appreciated a kind, smiling face after the long drive in. Outside of the front desk/reception, the housekeeping staff always refresh the room thoroughly. We've had minor maintenance issues on previous stays with things in our room (AC not turning on, broken fridge, etc), and maintenance always arrives super fast and resolves the issues quickly, without a hitch. No hotel is going to be perfect, but it's how you handle the issues that earns you my respect. This hotel has not disappointed us in our last 10-15 stays.
Great value for money when heading to Disneyland and just looking for somewhere to stay. The rooms were clean and comfortable- and roomy. The pool was good to cool off in. Simple and no frills- exactly what I was looking for. Couldn’t fault them (we didn’t need much)
Coach Ken and coach Alison are amazing. They make it feel like your second home. It is so welcoming and the vibes there are great. All the students there are like family. The coaches there are extremely patient and willing to teach without hesitation
I was in town for a conference and did a drop in. The instructor (Josh) did a great job of educating and walking us through the movements. We did a dedicated strength day and worked on our deadlift form which was much needed. I really appreciated the
