Motel 6 Amherst, NY - Buffalo - Motel in Amherst - 4400 Maple Rd, USA

My partner and I stayed at the Motel 6 for two nights in June. Walking in, we were greeted and got our room key in less than 5 minutes. The room we got was 142 and walking in, it looked good at first glance but taking a deeper look we found hair in the sheets, pillows and in the bathroom sink and tub. This is fine and an easy fix but in the bathroom someone left dirty used underwear. Now we were fully aware our room was never cleaned and we needed to switch rooms. I went to the front desk to explain what we saw and asked if someone could clean the room, the nice man at the front insisted on upgrading us to a better room and making sure it was clean. Our new room was 116 and it was great! Not much of an upgrade but it was a little newer and definitely cleaner than the last one. Overall our stay was good, service was awesome, and the location was great and near pretty much everything, the only thing this motel should work on is hiring some more cleaning staff and updating their bedding. Thank you!

0/10 I would not recommend. When we entered the room it reeked of mildew/mold we told the front desk and they gave us air fresheners. The air freshener did not work. We came back and asked for more air freshener and when the person entered the room they sprayed air freshener in my face. The staff were very rude the entire time. Would not move myself or my family to a new room. When asked for blankets, they give us sheets. Did not give us any blankets. The towels were dirty and the service was just not there.

I would advise everyone to never enter the doors of this place called a motel. If I can give 0 stars that’s what I do. The man who called himself the manager was rude to my daughter and failed to listen to her when they charged us for a no show and she attempted to show him the confirmation on her phone that showed only one night. He offered us a room at a discount but still charged us for the night before which we did not have reserved. Honestly he doesn’t care about his customers so please stay away. And on top of that the room was disgusting. The bathroom obviously had not been cleaned. There was a used towel hanging on the wall and there was black hair in the towel and on the floor. We only stayed because he wouldn’t refund and it was a busy weekend thinking it would be hard to find something else. Thank goodness it was for only one night. The only thing we could do is call head office which my daughter did. The only way I would ever recommend this place is if they gave us a refund for the extra charge and dirty room.

Be careful of this motel when you make reservations online with this motel. This happened to to me when I tried to make a reservation online They advertised a hotel room for $70/- and i wanted to make a reservation for two nights. Got my bank card details and wanted to cut the phone line.I wanted the amount they they going to debit my account and I was told it is $350/- for two nights.i said that you guys are going to cheat me and canceled the booking. If they don’t cancel then I will make a policy complaint.

This motel sucked.. for many reasons 1.) When we walked into the room, it was so stuffy, and the ac couldn't do anything about that, and we couldn't open the windows. There was a very clear smell of pee in the room and everywhere else 2.) The bathroom was clearly not cleaned because the towels stinked, and the tap water smelled really weird. 3.) There was sketchy looking ducktape on the ground, and I swear I heard rats inside the wall. 4.) It was very noisy, and none of my family members could was a dog above us and was walking around for so long. I would not recommend this motel for anyone every.

Decent rooms, very clean for a motel. It was a good stay at first until a woman at the front desk began to be rude & loud with my parents. There was poor communication between staff and we were supposed to check out Monday morning but the lady expected us to be leaving today (Sunday) and we were uninformed of this. The lady was talking over my parents, cutting them off, and did not initially explain what was wrong so it was a bad experience talking with her. We did not get her name as they do not wear name tags, but it was very disrespectful of her. After this, she asked if we wanted to extend the stay but after that, it was a no. The man who checked us in and booked our stay was not there to confirm or have a say in what was going on which seemed to be an inconvenience for us. We got a key card and she gave us 30 mins to get our stuff and leave.

One chair, no toiletries, 2 concrete benches out front, very uncomfortable, no house keeping unless you ask, only free coffee in the morning no food. Would not stay again. Also wifi was very week. Walked outside the door and lost the signal.

We had rm 227 and if you're a light sleeper like me forgot it. The door to the stairs is exactly on the other side of the wall where the headrest is. All I heard was the squeak & open & closing of the door all night!🤬🤬 The beds are cheap & uncomfortable. They said since covid-19 they only clean the rooms after you check out. But I don't think they even do a good job at that. The toilet paper is about 3 1/2 feet away from the toilet. So either make sure you have some within reach or someone near by🤭😂.Just read the other reviews. Just saying 🤷‍♂️ but I guess you get what you pay for for what's available at the last minute.
