Motel 6 Albany, NY - Featured Reviews (1210)
I had a fantastic stay at this motel. The cleanliness was impeccable, with spotless rooms and common areas. The staff were exceptionally friendly and attentive, making me feel welcome from check-in to check-out. The rooms were well-appointed and comfortable, offering a great night's rest. Highly recommend for a quality stay at a great value.
Worst place we’ve ever stayed in - and it was only for one night. Here are all the things that went wrong: 1) Terrible customer service. The person at the desk didn’t even look like they wanted to be there. Tapped on the sign on the glass about the $50 deposit (or else you can’t get a room) instead of speaking to us with words. When we asked for additional towels (we were only provided two for a room of four!), they were only willing to give them only if we came back an hour after our request. We didn’t even go back for it because we bought our own at the nearest Walmart. 2) Absolutely horrendous room - both that and the hallways smelled like substances. It was all very disgusting: dead flies on the windows, trash in the air conditioner, sticky floors, dirty bed and pillows…I can go on forever. Pictures below. I would give this zero stars if I could!
Positive: They let you keep booking the same room if you have to extend your stay. Negative: The A/C in our room only blows warm air, the microwave smells like someone tried to cook raw fish in it every time you use it, cockroaches come from under your door into your room, and the hallway to the stairs are smells like dead rotting mouse.
Positive: Nothing... First room that we were sent to had broken moldy dresser drawers. Bed looked slept in pillow cases had brown stains. Air-conditioning had a opening without vent and stunk and had mold. Offered us another room that was just as bad. Negative: This place doesn't deserve to have a the Motel 6 name... It is a disgrace...
Dirty Rooms, disrespectful customer service, and a 50$ insurance deposit or you can’t get a room. They don’t tell you until you actually get there, so if you don’t have that extra 50 bucks in your account your screwed 😟😕🙁☹️😞😣😖😤 Only go here if it’s your very last resort. Soon a they sun came up I RAN out of this place and was HAPPY!
Dad experience never will recommended it for others and bad place. Paw prints on bed dirty, things falling apart. Sink wouldn't go down. Problem with beds been used and not changed sheets.
What a DUMP !!!! Section 8 housing at its finest. The rooms were filthy, and the beds had mold all along the bottom. The floors would stick to your shoes, and there were feces all over the tub and toilet. When I opened the curtains to look outside, there was mold on the windowsill from years of water damage. I had to wash the tub with soap and a washcloth so I could take a shower, I even had to wrap my pillow with a t-shirt and sleep on top of the blankets that's how filthy the bed was.
We didn't even end up staying the rooms (we tried 2) were not clean. Front desk was polite but said they were all the same and we should try a different area. Is close to I-90
