Motel 6 - Motel in Stillwater - 5122 W 6th Ave, USA

The owners are the nicest foreign people I've EVER encountered. They are a family trying to make it in America. SO HUMBLE, they genuinely care, and their maintenance man is AMAZING! It's very quiet, no rude people next door or loud music or fights, no issues for police to have to be called very good overall!

The rooms don't lock,dirty,no lights and if there are there's no bulbs and the towels 😂😂😂

Due to NCAA Baseball Regional, Little League Tournaments, etc being held in town, hotel rooms were scarce and what few there were, were at a premium.||||Due to circumstances that arose, I was shopping for two rooms for our friends and us the night before our trip.||||I reserved two rooms, and was told the rate would be $100 per room, taxes included. This was quite high for this property, but still much cheaper than what few rooms were available at other properties in town. I was advised that the rate would be less the next night, and even lower the night after that. As the events in town lessened, the prices of rooms in area hotels decreased.||||After making the reservations, I began reading reviews. There were a few positive reviews, but there were several negative posts, and I became concerned.||||When we arrived the next afternoon, I expressed my concerns to the owner, and asked him if our rooms would be clean. He assured me that he would take care of everything.||||After going to our rooms, we did find them to be clean, which was one of our main priorities.||||It is an older property, and it is not fancy, but it met our needs for one night.||||As others have described, our room was small. The double beds were placed on opposite walls with maybe 3 or so feet between them. It was fine.||||The AC was not on when we entered, but after a few minutes, it was cooling the room off. The furniture was old, but it was fine. The television hung on the wall, and my wife was able to watch her shows.||||The bathroom was clean. The water pressure in the sink was low, but the water pressure in the shower was good, and there was plenty of hot water.||||The shower door didn’t completely close, and if you weren’t careful, you could end up with quite a bit of water on the floor, but it was manageable. Just redirect the shower head, and mop any water on the floor with a towel. ||||We both got a good night’s sleep. ||||The next morning, I went to the office to get coffee. It wasn’t Starbucks, but we found the coffee to be good. The breakfast offering was waffles, cold cereal, white bread for toasting, and orange juice.||||We didn’t use the pool, but looked fine, and reasonably clean. There was even a lift device to assist those with disabilities.||||The owner was friendly, and accommodating.||||This facility met our needs for the night. I’m glad we found it. 👍🏻

Health risk caution! Mold in bathroom was not cleaned up instead they painted over it! Filthy vents and ac filter. Had to leave after 3 hours due to respiratory issues. No hot water. Dirty blankets/covers gross! We had a double room and there wasn’t enough room for both beds. One bed was on smashed against the ac unit. Advertised online breakfast but I would not want to eat here even if they had it, which they don’t. This place doesn’t need an update it needs to be torn down. Worst stay anywhere at any price.

This was a last minute trip so there was almost no where to stay in Stillwater. I should have spent four times as much and gone to the other open hotel. Check in was easy, and that is where the good experience ends. We went to our room and found the door standing open. Come to find out, the latch was broken. There was an odor, but the bed looked okay at first inspection. I walked into the bathroom and quickly decided I would not be taking a shower. The floor was nasty. I got Lysol wipes and tried to sterilize anything we might touch. The towels were gray and one even had crusty brown yuck visible where it hung. In fact, it actually looked like a floor mat, which would have given us two. Since the door was not working correctly, I had to take anything of value with me every time we left the room for quick runs to the store or to go eat. There was no breakfast or coffee due to Covid, and I was fine with that because no way would I have eaten there. The heater was loud and either hot or not. The bed was good enough, but I was afraid to pull the sheets back and really look. We couldn’t leave fast enough. It just was not a room in which I wanted to spend any time at all.

The October ice storm took out our electricity at our home, so we decided to get a room in Stillwater till they got it back on. This was during the pandemic, and the city requires face masks. They had a sign on the door that face masks were required (which we wore), but the clerk was not wearing one. Check in was pleasant, the clerk was very nice. Got to the room and the key didn't work. Back down to the lobby, clerk very helpful and got us into the room. The view from our room was the pool....it was green...yuk. The room was very run-down although moderately clean except for the badly stained shower floor. There was no phone, no clock, no coffee maker, no bedside lamps for reading, or facial tissue in the bathroom. The towels had seen better days and some were so heavily stained they looked like they had been used to wash a car. As promised, there was a refrigerator (working fine) and microwave (no outlet to plug it in). We moved the microwave to the floor next to the door where there was an outlet. Had to tape the cord to the outlet to get it to stay in, but at least it worked. Lots of noise at night. I would not be shocked to hear that there was drug/prostitution activity there, as much of the clientele looked pretty shady, and the noise at night was lots of fighting and cursing. There was free wi-fi, as advertised, but the signal was very weak resulting in deja vu to the old modem days. There was supposed to be free breakfast, coffee and tea in the lobby, but due to the pandemic that was not available. I intended to take pictures, but we got word that the electricity had been restored at our house and we couldn't get out of there fast enough. I do not recommend this hotel at all.

I stayed at Americas Best Value Inn in stillwater for a cheerleading camp / fourth of july celebration like a couple months back. I was immediately pleased that the rooms were affordable due to late notice that I would be staying there, so I booked the room. Upon arrival the "Non smoking room" smelled like smoke. The pool was green and brown. The mirrors were not cleaned and looked like a brown substance of some sort had been smudged on it and the walls. The vents were blowing out literal dust. The dead bolt would barely lock, so who knows who could go in and out. When me and my boyfriend went to lay down the pillows were like enveloped in hair , some sort of crumbs and god knows what else. DISGUSTING, My boyfriend calmed me down enough not to request for a refund. But later on that night we seen so many roaches I immediately ran to the front office where they were UNBELIEVABLY conniving and rude. It was a family and they all seemed extremely calm and used to the fact that there were roaches. He informed me that I would not be getting a refund. This is the worst place to stay at in Stillwater, anyone who's reading this PLEASE stay somewhere else. We left that morning and slept in my boyfriends car outside because it was better than sleeping with the roaches, so we couldn't tell you if their breakfast was good but I have my money on the fact that it was probably horrid as well.

No frills and a older property with a little dinginess and some rust around the shower stall but clean, a comfortable bed, and not smelly (at least not our room). Our room had a microwave and a fridge. Plan to stay there again as it's half the price of other hotels in town. Our room was non smoking and had no smoker's odor but it had a clean ashtray next to the bed and in the bathroom, which was odd. Front desk was pleasant and quick enough
