I agree with another reviewer that this place Smells ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE in there and the owner has a very nasty attitude. Prices are too high compared to neighboring markets in this area. Better to shop online where you wont be scammed or sold expired products!!!
This is the best African store in US. Everything you need is there, from African food to clothing and African accessories.
Customer care is top notch, aunty Yetty is a such a sweet soul. The store smells real gooooooodddddd.
The owner's customer service skills are AMAZING! I love how well organized the store is with spacious aisles. She has a wide variety of African foods (fresh, frozen, packaged). Some items like yam, Titus sardines, maggi cubes are cheaper than the other popular supermarkets. I can stock up on GA kenkey!!! 🤩
African groceries tend to have strong smells due to our fermented/dry foods but THIS is the best smelling and best managed store I've been to since my childhood. Her FASHION store is FASCINATING!!!! I love Afro pop culture and this is local so I can see the quality versus buying my clothes, jewelry, waist beads etc. online. Thanks for serving our community with so many things we miss from Africa!!!
Staff was very helpful. It looks as though they are in the new beginnings of opening. Let's go out and support them!! I was very pleased with my purchase today. I am excited to try a fresh African Yam. It is so heavy. I received great instructions on how to prepare it. Ii will be prepared very similar to our French Fries here. I also had the opportunity to purchase 100% Black Currant juice! It is the best I have ever had and very reasonably priced as well. What an experience. If your interested in authentic fabric then this is also the place to go. The owner sells ready made garments or she may sew them for you!
It seems this business employs a lot of fake reviews, one reviewer claimed the shop smells great which is the opposite of what I smelled. This place could benefit from using some fragrance because the odor that hits you walking in is repugnant and it lingers on you even hours after leaving.
Be extremely careful when shopping here they are sure not to label items with proper prices so they can charge different prices to certain customers. The owner seems to be very prejudice against African Americans and extremely accommodating to white people. Also to add quite a bit of the items sold in this shop can be easily found online for a lot cheaper. I highly recommend making her shop the last ditch effort if all else fails.
I bought an anklet here with a metal screw clasp that I put on the day I bought it... 5 months ago!! I am not kidding. It has been through over 100 showers, a professional massage (forgot to take it off), and everyday wear and tear for over 5 months. I haven't taken it off once. It's still in great condition. Go get you an anklet that will last forever!!
Literally the best African Store in Fayetteville ( Fort Bragg) the store is fully stock with everything you will need. Also the store owner is the sweetest lady you will ever meet. Everyone talks about her customer service, it is top notch.
I visited this awesome store with my son as we were both interested in finding a nice African market. We were extremely pleased with the atmosphere, the selection, and the willing service that Miss Yeti provided to us both... along with an absolute clinic in African culture! She shared information with us that we will never forget and while we were talking, she made note of the fact that Saturdays were her busiest days, yet no one came into her store for the 30+ minutes that we were talking! We all agreed that it was appointed by God that we had this meeting and we learned so much. Her prices are certainly more than you'd pay at big box stores, but the quality and passion that goes into each item can be deeply appreciated. And the bread is amazing! My son couldn't help himself. We shall certainly be returning soon!
