We had dinner here at 5:00pm My prime rib was cold... not lukewarm ... stone refrigerator Cold... and i ordered it medium... my wife's fish and chips was "fishy" smells funny and the batter was over cooked. Sad.. we drove 45 minutes to have dinner with friends. Not recommended The wait staff was excellent and restaurant was clean and charming...

Stopped at this Gem on the way to a ski location. I saw the Fried Chicken Sandwich with the slaw and hot sauce on the menu. It caught my eye as I am from the south. It was absolutely amazing. We had the Bloody Mary and Pomegranate drinks which were good. My partner had the "Yard Burger" which she liked. The fries are absolutely amazing. You can get the fried chicken sandwich hot sauce on the side and dip the fries. The service was great. This location has history too (check Google).

I was part of a large ~30 person party. We had a catered dinner at the Morgan House and were served appetizers, buffet-style dinner, and dessert. Our main dishes were mushroom ravioli, salmon, and beef. All of them were delicious! The acoustics were not amazing but to be fair, there were a lot of people in our group talking loud.

Husband and I stopped in Lee on our way to Salem. It was a surprise to us that it was also Founder’s Day weekend so everything was busy. Our server was kind and attentive and the food was great. My husband had the brisket sandwich that was really flavorful while I had the French dip sandwich which was also exceptional. We would definitely go back.

Great location but the most disgusting fish and chips ever. The fish was not fresh, padded with greasy batter, the waitress was rude and service bad. One of my other dinners got sick from the clam chowder. When told how bad the food was, the waitress didn’t even acknowledge the comment. Then when paying the bill, I deliberately left a small tip on a $175 bill and the waitress actually gave me an evil look. NEVER GO THERE.

From awful to bad How’s the fish and chips, I asked. Great, she replied. The fish is really fresh. I wish I could say subpar, but I can’t. It was truly one of the worst meals I have failed to enjoy. The lackluster service didn’t improve anything. Allow me to explain. I expect three things in fish and chips; three equally important ingredients. Fish which should be fresh and not overcooked. Batter that should be crispy. And, chips, fries in America, that should be crisp on the outside and soft on the inside. At least that’s how we make fish and chips in Scotland. Apparently that’s not the expectation of the Morgan House. The fish was delightfully fresh but let down by the stodgy, undercooked batter it arrived in and the overcooked chips. The whole experience was further undermined by a token discount on the food that left me feeling that I was partially responsible. I guess one out of three passes for a meal well served at the Morgan House.

Went there to eat for the first time and it was awesome. Loved the colonial feel and decor…had filet mignon with roasted potatoes and asparagus and it was delicious, filet cooked perfectly. Server was friendly and checked on us multiple times. I will definitely go back.

Set the Morgan house as our destination from northern Massachusetts because of the great men online . Arrived at 2:45 and was told” we stopped serving lunch”. What does that mean? The grilles are shut off ? The chefs are taking a nap? No mention of this on the website that there is a shutdown period. 1st and last attempt of eating here. Thank s for being inept.

We had a great time here, and really appreciated the way the hotel is run. It's a little rustic - the decor would benefit from a refresh. But the owners have invested in facilities which actually make your stay more comfortable. As well as the room's
