I'd thought I might have the place to myself on a Monday in August, but the Dartmouth Class of '81 Reunion was taking place and the lodge was full (for dinner). The place is steeped in Dartmouth history and very much intended to serve the Dartmouth community, but I felt welcome as a non-alumnus. The Class of '81 shared bunkhouse accommodations in the outlying buildings, but I got one of three private rooms in the main lodge; a bit spartan, but comfortable enough and beautiful. The rates were very reasonable; I stayed and had dinner and breakfast for significantly less than other lodging options in the Upper Connecticut River Valley. Dinner was vegetarian (with the exception of butter for the freshly baked bread), but surprisingly good; there were eggs and sausages at breakfast. This was similar to the experience at the huts of the Appalachian Mountain Club, but much less expensive. Highly recommended!

Best place to stay and hike mount Moosilauke. There are not enough parking spots though.

NOT hiker friendly. We were in an emergency situation and they were extremely rude and asked us to get out as soon as we arrived. The hurricane trail aka evacuation route leads to this lodge which is why we ended up there. There is no service in this area. We had to beg for help and they said we couldn't use the wifi to contact for help because we were not guests. When we asked for a phone to call, they gave us a landline and asked me to get out of view and not steal the landline phone. It was pouring rain and 40 degrees outside so we just needed to find a way to town so we didn't die. Would not recommend!! Two stars since we saved ourselves and didn't die.

The lodge is BOUJEE. Definitely a nice space to relax and everything inside is well thought out. Very nice recreation spot and also convenient for a restroom before and after our hike.

I went during a covid time, when they haven't even opened for public and we also just went to check it out because the usual orientation visit didn't happen. I loved the rustic look of the place and the lovely decor they maintain. Everything felt so simple, close to nature and comfortable. I bet it is tough to maintain though. The views around are mesmerizing and there are beautiful trails of a variety of level around the property. It's in my list for when things are normalish!

We were invited to photograph a wedding where the clients had roots tied to the Moosilauke Ravine Lodge. The most beautiful surroundings and incredible structure of the lodge were both true highlights for us as photographers.

I've stayed at the Moosilauke Ravine Lodge many times. It's not your usual hotel, but it's a very nice place regardless. Dinner and Breakfast are served family style - you get to take your pick of spots at tables of six. The food has been really good every time I've been there. There's usually some hanging out that happens after dinner - a mix of undergrads, grad students, locals, and passers-through. Oftentimes there's some kind of music being played, which is nice. ||||The bunkrooms can be a bit cold in the evenings, so it's best to bring a warm sleeping bag or heavy blankets. And you won't be sleeping on anything close to a waterbed, but it's usually comfortable enough.||||The best part is when you wake up, you're right there next to Mt Moosilauke. It's great - you couldn't get any closer. It's the perfect place to start or end a hike. I'm definitely headed back as soon as I can.

This place looks awesome. We were hiking when we went right by it. It was closed due to you know what!!! But it did look super inviting, cozy and the way they built it using the trees they cut to clear the way is just breathtaking. The entire place looks like one huge log cabin, yet so sophisticated and artistic that it looks it really belongs there and is part of the beautiful nature surrounding it. I hope they open soon, I want to visit.
