Moose Meadow Lodge & Treehouse - Bed & breakfast in Duxbury - 607 Crossett Hill Rd, USA

Our week's stay with Willie and Greg at Moose Meadow was a far more wonderful experience than my husband and I had expected. What gracious hosts, what wonderful food and what meticulous care taking of their property. Moreover, they've created a "home-away-from-home" by making all the first floor rooms accessible (the whole kitchen), comfortable and inviting. We will definitely be returning. And, though we didn't stay in it - the Treehouse is magical.

We spent two nights in the main lodge. Do not have enough good words to say about this place! The grounds are gorgeous and well maintained. We did the hike up to the Skyloft - recommended but it does feel straight up hill! Breakfast in the morning was 10/10. Greg and Willie were amazing hosts!

Greg and Willie are the absolute best hosts imaginable. We stayed here last year and the place were stunning, and being there was such an experience. We ended up crashing our car, and without hesitation, our hosts helped us look for a flight and drive us all the way there. They went above and beyond to make us feel at home. So if you are looking for something special called happiness, this is where it’s at :) Also, don’t forget to get the pancakes!

We loved our week at Moose Meadow Lodge! So peaceful and relaxing! Beautiful property with wonderful hiking trails, fire pit, sky loft and pond. We stayed in the Duck room which has it's own private screened porch. Breakfast each morning was fantastic! Greg & Willie were so nice and genuine. We were greeted the moment we got out of the car and they waved farewell as we took our last drive down the gorgeous driveway. Their home really becomes your home while you're there. We would love to go back! So appreciative of their hospitality to these southerners!

Greg and Willie are the consummate hosts. Technical perfection in a laid back, informal way that makes you feel like you’ve returned to your childhood home. The lodge is the quintessential getaway, with fascinating décor. Our room was perfectly equipped, functional and comfortable. Most importantly, it was spotless. The hike(s) to the Sky Loft is worth the effort. The mystery of SID adds an interesting twist to the stay. Convenient to some of Vermont’s prime attractions but special enough you may not want to leave the property. We loved Moose Meadow Lodge and Tree House and we will be back!

We had the pleasure of returning to Moose Meadow Lodge at the end of September. When we were there in the summer of 2013, I made it a goal to return in the fall the first year I retired. Everything is the same only better. It is obvious that Willie and Greg spend lots of time upgrading the property! The setting and lodge are so beautiful but it is the hospitality that Willie and Greg provide that makes this experience outstanding! You really do feel at home from the minute you arrive! My husband and I have been to at least 40 B &Bs in our life and no other innkeepers come close. The breakfast prepared by Willie is still awesome and I can’t wait to try his pancake mix that I bought. This is one of our first adventures during the pandemic and Willie and Greg also did a great job with their Covid protocols. I really can’t say enough great things about Moose Meadow Lodge. Now we are thinking we need to try a winter vacation there😀

Staying at Moose Meadow Lodge was one of the most enjoyable experiences I have had staying anywhere around the country. The location is absolutely beautiful, with walking trails, a pond, a gorgeous secluded property and so much more. The best thing though is the hospitality of the owners, Greg and Willie. They made us feel welcome literally while we were still walking up the steps. The amount of love and care they put into the property as well as ensuring their guests have a great time couldn’t be more evident. They were also very accommodating to our 4 year old, and she is already asking to go back. The breakfasts were some of the best I’ve had, incorporating local twists on familiar foods. We stayed in the Mountain View room which was very comfortable and as the name suggests, offers beautiful views of Vermont’s Green Mountains. It seems like good energy in general is drawn to this place, as we were lucky enough to be there for a surprise wedding, which I was happy to be able to be a (small) part of. Next time we plan on checking out the Treehouse. I feel no need to look for anywhere else to stay on future trips to Vermont as this place has everything I would look for and more in a hotel/B&B. Looking forward to returning!

What a grand experience! Wilie and Greg have captured the essence of sharing their home with strangers that soon become "family." Great setting in one of Vermont's grand locations. Food impeccable. Accommodations sterling. Hosts...simply magnificent!
