Moore State Park - State park in Paxton - 1 Sawmill Rd, USA

It is absolutely gorgeous. Different trails to choose from. They are all pretty short, which makes it easy to go through the different ones. I love the meadows, the forest can be pretty too( be ready for bugs and mosquitoes until the frost, although not too bad depending on the day)

I love that no matter what the weather or time of year, Moore State Park has something to offer. Today's foggy day was moody and lovely.

Moore State Park is a relaxing day trip off the beaten path. Picnicking, walking leashed dogs, and operating non-motorized boats are permitted. Many of the hiking trails are paved and easily accessible, although some require greater dexterity. The remaining mill, falls, bridge, and ponds are a popular spot for photographers and painters. The parking lot is small and fills up quickly, but plenty of parking is located along Brigham Road; do not park along Sawmill Road. Finally, the park could use significantly more signage, as most of the historical information is only available online. I hope to see future improvements to this promising historic site.

Great place for a hike, easy walk, well maintained trails . Trails need to be marked better, no trail blazers and a couple trail intersections are not marked at all

Such a beautiful and relaxing walk. It's not too bad of a walk to the falls either! The way to the falls are paved making it easy and accessible to visit for anyone. There is limited parking but worth it.

It’s always fun to visit Moore State Park in any season.

Lovely place to walk around and feel the nature. There are many sitting areas sprawled throughout the park. The lake is a beautiful view as well. Be sure to bring your mosquito repellent!! Finding this gem was a happy accident, a lot of the time I'm searching for new state parks to explore on Google. This is now one of my favorite new parks. The landscape at this location is beautiful and I like how it wasn't packed with people. Plenty of things to look at and you don't feel claustrophobic. Can't wait to head back to this location!

Stopped on impulse. Very quiet and numerous trails to explore. Some ups and downs to get your heart flowing. Rhodies were in full bloom. Birds singing. River rushing. Enjoyable couple of hours enjoying nature on a misty day.
