I have always enjoyed visiting the Moore-Lindsay Historical House and if that makes me a nerd, then pass me my pocket protector cause I'm loving it! I've brought several friends here as well as gone to visit on my own and I've never been disappointed -- the caretaker is SO knowledgeable and enthusiastic about the property and history of Norman, and my daughter still talks about "the yellow house with the piano" I brought her to on a Mommy/Daughter date. Such a fun, thoughtfully curated and EASY connection to Norman's past. Definitely worth a visit!

Love this historical center it was extremely great. Like the manner in which they spread out the timetable. Exceptionally simple to continue in occasions request. I can see where this exhibition hall has a ton of room that they can develop. The subsequent floor is ancient rarities from the Smithsonian. I truly wish that it had a larger number of relics than it had. Or on the other hand ancestral individuals that have given more relics to the historical center. That would have been significantly better for me. I love seeing each of the individual things that accompany the story first floor. I simply don't think there was a lot.

If you are a fan of historic home tours, you must visit the Moore-Lindsay home! The tour guide is a huge part of an excellent tour, and Amy delivers a wonderful tour. Her tour is informative about the history of the family and the house of course, but it is the little details and stories of the house that I remember most from house tours and she provides lots of those on this tour. I also love her obvious appreciation for the home and its history. I can tell she loves this home like it’s her own and has a deep appreciation for the family behind the home and history in general. This isn’t the biggest historic home in the metro area, but it is one of my favorites because it feels like a home, as opposed to a vast mansion designed for entertaining. I love the front porch, the front entryway with its curved staircase, the light-filled turret room, and all the stained glass windows. Amy also does a fantastic job of creating microexhibits throughout the year to increase interest in the house and give a reason for repeat visits, which is something I haven’t seen at other homes. I have visited several times over the past few years and always find something new to appreciate with each visit. Definitely worth a visit if you’re in the area!

The tour is certainly worth it! The house is nicely decorated (according to the season most likely) and has timeless pieces from the family and others of the century. It's very well preserved and mighty interesting. Our tour guide was extremely knowledgeable when we went yesterday. She was kind and helpful, full of enthusiasm for the location and for us being there. There are also self-guide books people can use, however I did opt take one nor follow it. It most likely is nice also! The gift shop is cute and fair priced. Overall, it was a lovely experience. Certainly worth it if you are a Norman native or a visitor from elsewhere, like me.

This place is awesome! Rich Norman history. The tour guide was awesome! There is even a cute little gift shop where I purchased a really neat old panoramic photograph of downtown Norman. If you like history, visit this place! Beautiful architecture.

This is a beautifully restored home, now a museum. It is truly a beautiful part of the history of Norman, Oklahoma. It is tastefully decorated with antique furnishings in much the same style one might have expected 100 years ago. Walking in the front door of this property is almost like stepping back in time. Admission is free, and for this price, no one visiting the city of Norman should miss it!

This house is a beautiful piece of well preserved Norman history. Be sure to ask about all aspects of Norman’s past as the staff here are very knowledgeable and nice. And it’s FREE. But I’d recommend donating so this place stays available for years to come.
