Complimentary Popcorn! What an interesting alternative to bread before your meal. We had a great evening here and enjoyed every minute. We both got the cornflake chicken salads and it was fantastic. Moist chicken wrapped in a crunchy and flavor filler crust partnered very well with the salad. We also enjoyed the calamari and the chocolate espresso brownie. Both were plenty for two and delicious to the end. Would recommend 👌
Great restaurant. I can see why it has so many 5* reviews. Sat in the covered outside area during one of Texas' little cold snaps and it was pleasant. The inside is way nicer BUT they have done a good job on the outdoor area. Food was excellent! Wish bar menu had more Mocktails. We will certainly be back when that side of town.
Cute exterior/interior. Indoor/outdoor and outdoor covered seating with heaters! Plays a rock style music, at least while we were there. Cool atmosphere. Clean bathrooms. The waitress was super nice. She was the one with pink hair. I was impressed she asked first thing about food allergies. I think this should be a stand in the food industry. She brought us free seasoned popcorn. My friends ordered fried green tomatoes (5-6 pieces) and cat head biscuits(3 biscuits). Both were pretty good! The fried green tomatoes had shrimp and lots of flavoring. The biscuits had a nice preserve that wasn’t super heavy. The biscuits are very filling. I ordered the chicken and waffles. This isn’t something I usually order but I thought I would try, the waffles were very fluffy, chicken was fried and season ok. There was syrup and gravy on the plate as well. I mixed and dipped into all of them. I was satisfied. My friend got blackened cat fish and grits. The grits were one of the best ones I have had and I’m from the south so I’ve tasted quite a bit. They gave us corn bread muffins that were slightly spicy so I assume they have jalapeños in them but they were good, not dry.
This restaurant has an enjoyable outside eating area. It is covered with good lighting and atmosphere for those who enjoy outdoor patio eating. The food was good, we tried the place based on the southern menu selections and excited to try it out. I had the chicken fried steak, it was very good. A great crust, flavor and tender steak. I enjoyed the kick of heat from the Chipotle gravy, which just added to the overall flavor. And the mashed potato also good. Initially, the first biscuit order came to the table cold, once we shared with our waiter this was quickly resolved. The next arrival the biscuits were hot and fresh. The biscuit is okay, a little more dense for my liking. And my friends shared their selections was a good choice. Really good service as well.
Come here, eat here, order the shrimp and grits. This is a chill spot with a great covered patio. They also have portable AC. The service is quick and friendly and the food is 10/10. When you are seated they great you with a bowl of seasoned popcorn. However don't skip on the fried shrimp corn dogs. I can't wait to eat here again with friends. The brunch menu also looks delicious!
Charming little restaurant in downtown Austin next to the convention center. Wide selection of southern comfort food, boasting the largest chicken fried steak I have ever seen! Friendly and super efficient staff.

The chicken and waffles was 9/10 with only downside that the waffles were mushy/soggy. The soup was cold! The waiter replaced with a warm/hot cup after the complaint. Great service with a surprising green tea with hints of mint. Well done!
We enjoyed the food, drinks, and dive bar vibes! The bartender was very sweet and our Shirley temples didnât disappoint. The burgers were big and very meaty (theyâre cooked medium by default!). The chili cheese fries were not dry and were great f
Fantastic people, great food and a funky down home neighborhood bar atmosphere. Seth is a great bartender who never lets you go thirsty. I look forward to stopping in the next time I am visiting friends in Austin. Frank from Las Cruces NM
This place has almost become a second home for many of the regulars. Great atmosphere, and even better bartenders! Also a plus that the drinks are cheap, and even cheaper during their happy hour that usually lasts to 6! Most week days even have deals
We were visiting Austin, Texas, for the first time and staying at a hotel nearby, so we decided to stop in to this bar and restaurant for a late lunch. Our server, Tori, was super sweet and very attentive. The food was also quite good. My husband had
This place is fantastic! I had such a great workout! The treadmills are excellent, and you can actually feel a difference between Strideâs treadmills and regular ones. The teacher Rachael was clear and encouraging. The vibes were great: modificatio
A feeling of calm radiates from this lovely coffee truck. I observed many regulars (including pups) interacting in a community way. A canopy of a ginormous pecan tree gives the Terrible Love protection as well protecting some of the abundant greener

Stumbled upon this gem on South 1st and was able to try a variety of fresh samples. As a plant based eater, I was blown away at the creativity given to the menu. The Campfire Chili is hands down the best chili Iâve tasted. The owner Aaron was very
Our experience at Bar AC was fantastic! We had a great time and it was a wonderful send-off for our friend. The cocktails were top-notch, and the service was excellent. Courtney, our waitress, was amazing and made sure we had everything we needed. If
Elite coffee spot. I make a physical effort to stop by each time I'm in town, and I'd be here every day if I lived in Austin. Try the pumpkin spice latte, they make it the perfect level of not too sweet
Visited Austin for the weekend and took the free trial at Ambush. It was awesome and I would definitely recommend checking this gym out. I've been training Muay Thai and MMA for ~ 2-3 years now and this gym is great for learning Muay Thai and striki
