Moonlit Burgers Uptown - Hamburger restaurant in Pittsburgh - 1023 Forbes Ave, USA

This place is a very solid burger joint. I just didn’t think anything was special about it. Yes, the prices are solid, and food is alright. I just tried their regular single moonlit burger. It was fine. The potato bun had a decent texture to it, and was more flavorful than the average bun. The sauce had the slightest bit of spice to it, and a decent creaminess as well. I asked for it without onions, and they filled the request, so good service. The meat was somewhat dry and not that flavorful, though. Cheese also not that flavorful. Perhaps I need to try a more special burger from this spot.

The burgers and fries were good. I liked cheese sauce. The staff is friendly. Even your dog can get portion of meet and water. The burger 🍔 was not the best, but still good. I would ask for extra cheese for cheeseburger. The place is clean, in the downtown. It wasn’t overcrowded.

The burgers are sized and cooked perfectly... But... There's no flavor. There are definitely better burgers to be had in Pittsburgh. The bean salad was tasty and different. The shoestring fries weren't my favorite, not sure if it's the oil used or what, but they don't have much flavor either. It's a good spot to go before a Pens game. Even though it was busy, service moved pretty fast. But I probably wouldn't stop here otherwise.

In my top 3 for burgers in Pittsburgh. Sauce has a nice kick to it. Their fries are the "shoestring" variety (think McDonald's in terms of texture and shape), but they're much better than McDonald's. Service is great, and they have amazing employees. I come here often, and I'll keep coming back!

In town for a conference and had a hankering for a burger, but we ordered delivery to our hotel. EXCELLENT burger, one of the best I've ever had. I got the double. Fries were not great but that was due to delivery, we still ate everything! We will be back to Pittsburgh, it's a great city, and we will be getting Moonlit burgers every time. I wish I had gotten a Tshirt. Thank you for an excellent burger experience!

After trying this place for the first time, I have been a frequent customer. Always had a great experience-food was always phenomenal and orders were always correct. Today was definitely different. I received zero moon sauce and I didn’t know until I got home because I got takeout. The cheese sauce was also completely different (not in a good way). Different taste, texture, color. It literally tasted like cheap, fake cheese sauce you’d get from a not-so-great pizza shop. The moon sauce and cheese sauce was literally what kept bringing me back. Without those my meal really was not good…..And moon sauce comes on the burger I ordered so I don’t see why I would have to request it.

Fast service, smash burgers go for the triple. shoe string fries were okay but you got a generous portion. The milkshake was thicc, great flavor and toppings ratio, but on the sweeter side. It's the spot to go before a Pens game, Let's go PENS!!!

Hands down best burger I’ve ever had. Would take a 4 hour drive every weekend just to eat here.
