Went to Moonlight Cafe Vietnamese Cuisine for the first time. Me and my buddy always drove past by and we always wanna try this place. Lots of delicious options and the restaurant’s atmosphere is very pleasant. Good food quality and friendly customer service. Highly recommended especially for the people who loves veggie options! Love love love it 😍!
Wow! What a wonderful surprise. This is the spot if you want the option of vegetarian AND meats. The selection here is vast, and everything is incredibly fresh. There is limited parking that is shared with the family mini-mart next door. Street parking is also available, I would personally park on 20th with Jackson St being a pretty busy street. The outside is very lackluster, but that's a complete change on the inside. They are VERY clean and well-kept. They are rated a Excellent by Food & Safety. They have (2) separate menus for strickly vegatarian options, basically marked "V" for Vegetarian or "M" for Meats. They take the order by memory, so do yourself a favor and go slow and make sure you double-check that they got it right. No tea was served, but the water they provided was noticeablely good. It was fresh and didn't taste like they took it from the tap, so that says a lot. That set the table for the entire experience. Everything we ordered was delicious and incrediblely fresh. The pricing was spot on. To note, there was no anise in the phó or any taste of anything artificial. Service was average, they did not come around to refill our water or ask how our food was or bring us our check but they were friendly, and the order was taken correctly. Midas 5-stars for the fresh and delicious foods.
Great atmosphere, good food with plenty of options to choose from. Healthy portions for each meal. Vegan menu included if you care for that kind of thing. There's open karaoke as well, but we weren't there late enough for it. Give it a chance if you're looking for tender meat or drinks and a song!
The vegan menu at this place is absolutely huge!! I got the lemongrass Vermicelli bowl with plant based chicken. The chicken was fine but in the future i’d just order items with tofu. Their gyoza and spicy wontons were delicious!
The pineapple fried rice and the Thai ice tea were fantastic! The indoor decorations and hanging lights create an open and clean atmosphere. We will come back!
Feasted on 7 dishes that were all delicious 😋. They were cooked perfectly with authentic flavors. Favorite dish is hands down the salt and pepper shrimp!! Must try. Fried expertly so that you can eat the shell too. We also had the vegan orange chicken and I think moonlight has one of the best vegan menus (who knew you could eat good vegan Asian food). Staff was super friendly and on top of things. This has become one of my favorite hidden gems.
They have an entire vegan menu! Like pages and pages long! Delicious. The vegan pho was great and the banh mi was everything. Finally a Thai iced tea that’s vegan!!
Holy wow what an incredible spontaneous dinner tonight! We have driven by this no frills Vietnamese cafe for many months and finally parked in the lot and ventured in for dinner. Crispy chow mein, spicy hot noodle soup, and egg rolls did not disappoint. They have an incredible vegetarian and vegan menu 😉. While they no longer do karaoke, we highly recommend Moonlight Cafe. Yum!!
