When my son was engaged I knew that I had to find a special place to host the Groom's dinner. A google search led me to the Moondance Inn. When I ventured to MN for a visit, I immediately knew this was the place I was looking for. Beautiful, stately, great location, and absolutely magical all around. Kristi helped to plan the Groom's dinner to perfection. The food, ambiance, and service was above five stars. Guests were greeted by the eclectic presence of the Inn's exterior and upon entry were in awe of the warm presence, beauty, and historical furnishings of the Moondance. Friends of my husband's and mine who stayed at the Inn with us were beyond pleased with the enchanting atmosphere of the rooms and comfort of the beds. A brunch the day after the wedding that Kristi created was also extraordinary. There is already a weekend with friends and family to come back to stay with Kristi and the Moondance Inn planned for the future. Huge thank you to Kristi !! The Groom's dinner far exceeded our expectations. Par excellence !!!
A real experience! Comfortable rooms and inviting common spaces steeped in history, with great food and accommodating hosts. Perfect for a getaway with friends or family. The house is in the perfect location to enjoy some peace and quiet, yet just a short walk or drive to shops, restaurants, and the river. We look forward to our next visit. Thank you!
Wonderful stay at the Moondance! We loved the beautiful Gypsy room, and had delicious breakfast each morning. The owners were friendly and made sure we had everything we needed and were enjoying ourselves. We especially loved the spacious porch and the lovely parlor. Looking forward to future visits to the Moondance!
This place is fabulous. Christy was a very gracious host an wonderful cook. We also got to experience a little spiritual presence from the room down the hall. I thought it was another couple but found out in the morning we were the only guests..or were we.....
Excellent historical accommodations. Loved the breakfast, Made me feel like I was a kid again. Thanks for having us. The red Wing area was full of activities. We enjoyed the pottery house, and the local restaurants. The red wing shoe shop is a must see.
New owners took over in 2021. The website photos were taken by the original owners and not exactly what guests experience now. The house has lost some of its polish. So 3-stars because attention to detail is lacking. Guests are asked to remove their shoes at the door. The decor has become a bit haphazard (hot pink butterfly coasters?). The dining room is cluttered. The indoor plants are not maintained, nor are the outside gardens accessible or inviting. And the third floor is completely closed off. However, 5-stars because bed and bathrooms are clean. The breakfasts are generous portions, local ingredients and well presented. There is a kuerig available 24hrs in the dining room. The living room is quiet and romantic. And the huge front porch offers a twin bed-sized swing! Kristi, the hostess, has a friendly, easy-going Bohemian energy.
We stayed at the Moondance Inn for a concert in Redwing. Such a great experience! A very cute and quaint little getaway for anyone looking for a place to stay in the area. Their breakfast in the morning was amazing!
Moondance has been such a special place for us. A beautiful BnB to stay in rooms, homemade breakfast and lovely owners. My husband and I have stayed here many times and most recently we booked the whole place with a group of friends and had a wonderful time enjoying the porch, common areas and the city of Redwing. Our original plan was to stay at the St. James, but then we realized that we could get the entire Moondance BnB for a fraction of the price with breakfast and jacuzzis included. Mike and Cindy were so accommodating and friendly and we can't wait to go back!
We stayed at this lovely B&B for 3 nights during the 2023 holiday period while visiting family in Red Wing. From the moment we stepped into the Inn, everything was perfect - the owners Deb & Ron were extremely friendly and welcoming, their dogs Buddy
The Upper Quarry, the first stop on the trail leading up to Memorial Park, is a beautiful and interesting place. The geologist in the family will find plenty of sandstone to examine and study, the hiker will love the trails, and the bird watcher will

Came here for a late night snack after a wedding at the St. James and it was amaaaaazing! 10/10 recommend. Owned by a very sweet couple that was so welcoming. The guy told us he smokes all of the meats in house too. Next time you're in Red Wing, you
When we arrived at about 3pm, we had the place to ourselves. The staff were super friendly and the atmosphere was really cool. We had drinks and nachos. Prices were good! They had my favorite MN THC beverages.
A really nice place. Nice little coffee shop. Quaint. Carpeting gives a nice warm feeling in November. Fun book exchange for the locals. This would be a great place to work remotely.
I recently went to see my first performance at the Seldom Theater in Red Wing! I went with some friends and we saw the B2wins! What a gem of a historic theater hidden in the quaint town of Red Wing! I feel like I was instantly transported into the pa
