Please be careful going here as the bouncer likes to beat up the male customers just because he can. The bouncer was there last night and beat my ex husband to a pulp because he backtalked him. Also, the same bouncer beat up a friend a couple of weekends ago. Places like this, you really have to be careful. It’s like giving the police a gun. Not all bouncers become that because they have no control in their own lives and like to bully and beat others and get away with it, but some are. It’s disgusting how they would hire such a violent person. Our lawyer will handle things so we are aren’t worried, this post is a warning to everyone else. Be aware if you go to a violent place like this. Huntsville has some great night scene places, this however is NOT one of them. I had something in my drink from there a few years ago so I’ve never been back, but that could happen anywhere, I guess. All in all, it’s a very dangerous place.

Love the remodeling! It’s always a great time and very good for socializing and meeting new friends. Wonderful security! If it weren’t for DJ Jim I wouldn’t want to come back. I am a newer karaoke host myself here in Huntsville and without DJ Jim I wouldn’t have been so inspired and welcomed at moodys. I love the place!!

I love this place. I come here all the time to wind down and listen to music. Would recommend newer sound system but the Karaoke DJ Jim is always on point and very respectful. He’s def the reason me and my friends keep coming back. It just wouldn’t be as fun without him 🤷‍♂️.

Welcoming environment, celebrated New years eve here and they gave out champagne and we all counted down. Very friendly down to earth vibe especially for those in the industry.

It's a dive bar. If cigarette smoke and loud music are your thing, you'll love it. If not, avoid. Service is good and prices reasonable.

Fun spot and good atmosphere - patrons and staff are friendly. Was visiting from out of town, waited over 2 hours for our name to be called and unfortunately it never was. Its good if you’re just wanting to drink and listen, not as much if you were looking forward to joining in. Regulars were definitely favored and sang multiple times so just be aware!

Karaoke DJ does not go in order, not fun to listen to the same bad singer 3 times in 30 minutes. Also it’s very smoky inside. First and last time here.

I'm relocating here from TN and decided to check out a karaoke bar close to my new place. My cousin came with me from TN for a night to help me move. We wanted to get a little fun in before she heads back to TN. So we found Moodys on Google and it was less than 7 miles from here. Turned out to be a cool little spot. It was Friday, so busy, but not packed to a miserable point. There was a great mix of music genre's picked, and it reflected the diversity of the crowd. That tells me all types of folks are welcome, and that's how it should be! The staff was very friendly and helpful, as were the KJ, and the customers/singers that we talked with. Our drinks came quickly, but I do think prices were just a little bit high unless you are a beer drinker.....those were priced well . .. maybe not to much higher than other bars of this same type, but with limited ways to get around that.... like maybe by offering some nightly drink specials .... Not going to deduct stars for that comment though, but when you aren't a fan of beer, are in there for a couple of hours, it adds up quick just getting 3 or 4 drinks. I decIded upon hearing that to order 2 drinks and be done. Id of probably spent more and tipped more OVER ALL if I'd of had specials to choose from. I also tip every round I order, as many others do as well, so I think it would benefit the staff too if there were options. One bar I used to go to had $1 jello shots they premade with vodka. They said they racked up a pretty profit on those to..... Helps us to feel like we are getting our moneys worth and we tend to order more.... but anyway...thats a tiny thing.... in the big picture it won't stop me from returning.... There were quite a few singers ahead of us, but the DJ happily added and got us up there in a fairly short amount of time. Everyone rooted whoever was performing on, including us, supporting n encouraging with applause and hooting. It surprised me but I love that type of positive, accepting vibe. Nothing worse than feeling like you aren't welcomed or that you were horrible when you're already in an unfamiliar place 😕 Not at Moodys though! We both had fun.... It was a great start to my first night in a new state! I can easily see this being my new regular haunt....
