Monterrey Mexican Restaurant - Mexican restaurant in Greeneville - 1351 Tusculum Blvd, USA

I have been going to this restaurant for more than 15 years and enjoyed their food and service . . . until yesterday. The tamale they served me was a corn meal roll with a sliver of pork so tiny it looked like a mistake. I am NOT exaggerating! The accompanying pic shows the ENTIRE piece of pork (search hard on the right edge of the plate) I found inside the corn meal - about 2" long x .75" wide x 1/16" high. Shameful!! I didn't order a corn roll. - I ordered a tamale. I showed it to one person and explained it to the cashier who asked me how my meal was. NO ONE OFFERED TO DO ANYTHING about it!! And you call yourself a restaurant. Monterrey, you've lost me as a customer because you earned it.

Been here a few times during errands, and would recommend. The fish tacos are delicious and the dipping sauce that comes with them has a refreshing bit of heat to it. The fried ice cream is also exquisite, and for the non-food related stuff... the staff is friendly and helpful, while the restaurant is quite nice and relaxing to enjoy a meal in.

The service was awesome, so friendly too! The food was delicious and the portion size was great. Great atmosphere

I've been going here since they first opened their doors. I didn't go for a few years and they've changed the menu and the recipes somewhat so I don't go as often now either. The food is okay but I like another place better, which I won't name here. They have excellent chicken nachos, and other things from the menu are good like chicken enchiladas and fajita chicken nachos as well as tacos and burritos.

GREAT FOOD / PLACE .... LOVE COMING HERE. Prices are VERY reasonable. Staff are the BEST !! We've had ANYWHERE . Love that they don't go SALANTRO * crazy .... Understand , some like it *** but I can't stand the Taste - myself Js. So Friendly & Clean Restaurant and Restrooms everytime we've been . Favorite is the # 26 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

Most Unfriendly Staff! Chicken Bowl thing was Great, but his Steak Strips looked like Little Worms... Where's the Beef? Many other Mexican places to Eat.

Food is okay I'm really disappointed they microwave to my tortillas for my fajitas and stuck them in the tin foil brought them out there hard. Look at my photos and decide for yourself I left one star due to the customer service pretty much sucks.
