The food was reasonably priced, especially the kids meal. The margs though, $9.99. They don’t taste like too much mix but overall they could use a bit more tequila. Their chips and salsa were delicious! What I don’t understand is the cheese dip. It’s like a cream of potato….Overall our experience was pretty good! We’d love to go back and try out their fajita special they do on Wednesday and Thursday. Fajitas for 2 for only $17.99. Will update if we go again!

Amazing experience! Very quick service, attentive waiter, and surprised about the amount of food provided for the low price! Had the flour tortillas, chips and salsa/cheese sauce, chicken fualtas & sopapilla! Fresh tasting and hot tortillas! Spicy salsa and mild cheese sauce balanced each other very well! The fualtas were crispy and flavorful! The food arrived very quickly and tasted very fresh! The sopapilla was fluffy, sweet and delicious! Overall great experience, atmosphere, music and food! Highly recommend!

First experience and had Amazing service, waiter was very friendly, accommodating and attentive. My El grande chicken chimichanga stuffed with the fajita vegetables was delicious and when they mean El grande, it was El grande lol. The chicken and beef enchiladas were delicious, complimentary salsa, cheese dip was very good and chips were perfect for me not salty. The water was good, no taste. You can tell the restaurant is maintained it was very neat and clean. A very satisfying experience.

This was the second time that I had been here. The food was good. They got it out quickly we had a big party. So they got our food out quickly.

Really enjoy the food here. The only downfall is the lack of beer on tap. The service is spot on, and the live entertainment is always a bonus. Highly recommend to family and friends if they are on that side of town.

Ted's Escondido has NOTHING on this place. Real authentic Mexican food! Also the service is out of this world. I stopped going to Ted's after 8 years and this is now my new staple!!! This service is top notch and the food is pristine! 10 🌟 's!!!! Everytime I come I'm NEVER disappointed.. Food is also piping hot amd they never mess it up.

The food was great and the customer service was even better! Even helped me carry my takeout order to my car. Just Outstanding!

My wife and I LOVE Mexican food, but MJ's is not anywhere we typically go. And tonight, after not having been there for a very long time, we thought we'd try it. Honestly, the food wasn't bad. Not quite as good as our favorites (hence why we rarely go there), but what REALLY got us was their mixed drink prices!!! We each had ONE mixed drink, and the price of the drinks was $27.98!!! That is F'ING RIDICULOUS!!!!!!!!!! Our bill total was $51 +/-, and $28 of it was for 2 mixed drinks!! I don't know ANYWHERE that charges $14 per mixed drink. I know their local competition (our favorites) don't! Heck, even local bars who's only business is serving alcohol don't come anywhere near $14 for a mixed drink! So, needless to say, it'll be one h3ll of a long time before we ever go back, if ever at all. Nope nope nope!
