I stayed at the Inn 35 years ago and then again this past weekend...great news was it was exactly the same...character, architecture and definitely the old Hollywood classic vibe. The great thing was all that was perfectly updated and modernized for the current convenience of a stay. Location is amazing as everything is right out the front door and within walking distance. Weel done. Bravo!
We love this place. The charm has won us over. The staff is incredibly friendly and they go out of their way to make sure your stay is enjoyable. The restaurant staff is wonderful. The food the cocktails are a must try.
Great location in the lower village. Valet parking very nice when parking in town is very limited. Old fashioned elevator is so charming. Great restaurant and bar onsite is also nice, especially when traveling alone. Dog friendly, but not a lot of good grass nearby… expect to walk to find it.
The rooms are a bit dated, and it shows. Service is good, as is the location on the main strip of downtown Montecito (note - not Santa Barbara). I don't think I would stay here again, though. This hotel definitely needs to do a better job of keeping up with the times. I recommend management invest significant funds in a renovation overhaul of the rooms.
The service is top-notch. The luxury rooms are worth the wait and the spend. Walking distance to many cute boutiques and amazing cuisine! This will be our once-a-month get away! You won't be disappointed!
Very nice hotel. Has an old world feel. The staff are very professional and attentive. Nice to have a restaurant attached the food is good but they need vegetarian options. The room is a bit small with a king size bed but I was very comfortable and have stayed at the Mira Mar down the road but I prefer the old world elegance of the Montecito Inn.
The rooms are dated, small and poor quality. The walls are so thin that I could hear the neighbor snoring at night. The hotel sits in between a major street and a freeway which makes street noise loud. The positive is that there are many stores within walking distance.
The outside of this hotel is beautiful and on a beautiful street. The insides are SUPER dated, stuffy, and musty smelling. The water pressure of the showers is almost unbearable..it stings you! The bellmen are super friendly but the front desk is poorly trained and not friendly.
