My husband, college-age son and I were headed to a concert at The Caverns. Now that we have been to Monteagle Inn, I honestly can't believe we considered staying anywhere else. From the warm welcome to the snacks to the incredible breakfast to the teeny tiny gingerbread soap, every bit of our visit was special. Y'all made us feel right at home. We also enjoyed hiking in the area, and the staff was knowledgeable about which trail might be a good fit. We will return soon - with friends!
A perfect place to hold our leaders prayer retreat! We were amazed at the staff's attention to detail and the meals done with such excellence and love! The water took about 3 minutes to get hot, but then it was the perfect temperature for a hot shower! We all loved it so much we have rebooked this Inn for our retreat next year!
My husband and I went to Monteagle for a concert and decided on this B&B to also unwind from our hectic schedule. This place is a dream. Very clean. The staff is super friendly. Attention to detail in all aspects. And the breakfast are OMG. And they even have gluten free offerings for people like me that want all the gluten but can’t have it! We were so impressed with the Inn that we have already booked our next stay there. See you soon!
Great place to stay! The Inn is convenient to Sewanee, and the rooms are wonderful and super clean. Everyone we met was polite, friendly, and helpful. The beds were comfortable. The breakfasts were amazing and made fresh to order. We will definitely be back!
We loved our one night stay at this homey little Inn. First, I had a helpful person work with me by phone to book the best room for our needs. We were warmly greeted by staff who take pride in their work and in the facility and given a quick tour that included info in all the free snacks and drinks we’d ever need. The fresh breakfast including made to order eggs and crisp bacon was outstanding. Coffee on the front porch was wonderful. Accommodations are simple but provided everything we needed including glasses and a wine opener and everything was very clean. It is not luxury but that’s not the goal - instead, it’s comfortable and familiar with an environment and staff designed to simply put guests at ease. Well done!
This place is okay. It’s an old house that’s been converted into a hotel. The water doesn’t get very hot so on a 20 degree day in December it would not have been pleasant to take a bath. The location on the main road is convenient from the interstate but loud throughout the night. The upside is that the staff are super friendly but I’m getting the idea that this is generally the case for almost everyone around Suwannee/Monteagle. They also have a large roaring fire place which was pretty nice to sit and read by. 10-4, over and out!
Our group of 26 old college friends LOVED this place!. We reserved four days for our retreat/reunion and came from eight states scattered across the country. It was fabulous: great food, bonfires, inviting common areas, and wayyy too many snack and drink options. But the best part was the owner and staff. they made us feel like family. Will definitely go back
Love the Monteagle Inn! the staff is fantastic, the management is very flexible and the hotel is like something out of a romantic movie. We did a business/friend trip and played golf at Sewanee and dinner at High Point. Our group consists of 8 guys in the construction/engineering industry. The fire pit is perfect for an after-dinner drink and conversation. This was our third year of coming here and I'm sure we'll be back.|

I wish we lived closer! Stopped to get gas on our way from Chicago to Florida and decided to grab something to eat. I googled places nearby and thought we'd give this place a chance. The parking lot was packed so I knew it was going to be good. There
A beautiful park to camp and hike. Stayed here for 3 days and nights and had a great time. The campground in which I stayed was .5 miles away from the waterfall. To hear the sound of it at night is so peaceful. I would come back here again to experie
Great atmosphere, historic Al Capone coolness factor, wonderful staff, and kudos to a very knowledgeable chef! The seating is in close quarters, so I wouldn't suggest it as a place to have a deep or private conversation, but overall it was an awesome
We had another reservation fall through and stumbled into the Smoke House. The two young ladies at the front desk (I should have written their names down but we were stressed from the previous issues) were kind, thorough, and accomodating. The cabin
