Montarra - New American restaurant in Algonquin - 1491 S Randall Rd, USA

I recently visited Montarra and was absolutely impressed! The fish and lamb showcased in the photos are truly outstanding – every bite is exquisite. The interior is quite beautiful, with unique hanging chandeliers that caught my eye. The flowing water dividing the dining areas adds a touch of elegance. This will undoubtedly become our favorite restaurant in this area; we'll be back for more of that amazing fish and lamb! For sure! ❤️

Fabulous steak meal! 5 star service and food to celebrate a birthday. My party mentioned they enjoyed the best french onion soup out there, meanwhile I thoroughly enjoyed the wedge salad. The 9 oz Argentinian churrasco style skirt steak was fantastic! Splendid dinner was capped off with a really good creme brûlée & chocolate cake.

My girlfriend and I are sitting in this restaurant right now and it is genuinely the best meal either of us have ever had. We already made another reservation for our anniversary next month while sitting here

Montarra is a wonderful place to have a fancy dinner. It does get a little loud on a busy night, but it's still worth it. The servers are knowledgeable, on top of their game, and ready to provide excellent recommendations. When you visit Montarra, the French onion soup is a must! I also loved the shrimp and sea scallops de jonghe. If you're unsure what coctails or wine to order, make sure to ask your server. They will make sure you get what you need :) as far as the dessert goes, it was decent, but I've had better ones. Still, Montarra is worth paying a visit!

We have been to Montarra twice now and both times the service has been excellent. This is a nicer, "upscalier" restaurant for the area so servers do not rush you through the meal, instead allowing you time to enjoy it. Each time we have gotten the wine flight before the meal to try out some new wines and have always found a new one we like. We usually try to order off of the specials menu and have not been disappointed. This last time we had the wild Chilean sea bass and the pork chop off the specials menu and loved them. This is a great place in the area for date night!

First time here. The food was ok. Tuna tartare was great but other than that I was not impressed. The meat was bad - impossible to chew. I was expecting to be better. Nor coming back.

Montarra is an elegant upscale restaurant so we’re not getting here super often. They’ve got an outstanding wine, whiskey and cocktail list too. We started with their Petite Filet Mignon Crisps, an excellent appetizer. Dinner was Duet of Beef Tenderloin Tips & Bacon Wrapped Jumbo Scallops and the Caramelized Jumbo Maine Sea Scallops. All of the food was cooked perfectly, well-presented and tasted great. The table service here was above average. Reservations recommended and you’ll need about $250 for two.
