The rental employees were so incredibly nice and helpful. We did the 2 hr even though the guy told us unless we were fishing or just gonna sit in our canoe to lounge 1 hr was plenty. He was right. 1 hr was plenty. Some parts of the water are beautiful but there is a lot of not so pretty areas. The weather was beautiful when we arrived and not too crowded. By the time we were done, all the canoes were taken. Kayak and paddleboats were left. We even walked the trail. The trail is not paved. Lots of snails.

Attended a picnic here. I would highly recommend facilities were clean and surroundings were beautiful. Dog friendly as long as you have your dog on a leash and please make sure to clean up afterwards. Someone else in our group also said they were beautiful trails to walk. You can also go fishing here but must obtain a license. And they do have restrooms.

Don’t rent a motor (the batteries are old and only last a little while). The first one died in less than 2 hours, so I had to row back and get a fresh one, which also died after 90 minutes. Then the staff told me that’s just the way it is and that I probably ran it too hard. Hey genius, I’ve operated plenty of boats. The real problem is how you talk to people. On the other hand, the facility and reservoir are nice.

It was quiet and peaceful yet there were enough people around. It was endearing to see special developmentally challenged youth all fishing together that day.

We were able to get licenses, bait and boat. It was a really nice day.

Great place to fish n take nice walk

My husband's not able to travel but loves to ride in the car and look out onto any water. A friend told me about Monee Reservois! Today was not a good day to bring him since he is wheelchair bound and it has been raining this evening but I still wanted him to enjoy the ride and scenery on the way... just the 2 of us. A double rainbow later with a break in the weather proved to be worth the trip...a nice breeze, a beautiful calm lakeside view....just the 2 of us and the ducks!

They where very helpful. They rent canoes kayaks and paddle boats. At a reasonable price. It was not crowded. They have spots to grill. You can fish.
