Mom's Kitchen - Breakfast restaurant in Olathe - 530 E Santa Fe St, USA

Been sitting here for about 40 minutes for 2 breakfast orders. Coffee is meh. Place is hardly busy. After 50 minutes our order came out luke warm. Coffee went empty for 10 minutes, server never got jelly after 15 minutes saying she would bring some. Ended up having to grab some from an empty table at minute mark 20. Cracker barrel chicken fried steak so much better for $15.99? Bland eggs and overcooked steak. Don't recommend and won't be back :(

Fantastic little place. Had the chicken fried chicken and got an extra egg and coffee. Coffee was the best I've ever had, my 3 eggs looked more like 4 or 5, and everything was delicious. I was waiting on an oil change, so I stayed for about 2 hours, but they were super courteous and made sure my coffee stayed full. I made sure to take care of my waitress too.

I love a good hole in the wall restaurant that is a hidden gem but Mom's Kitchen isn't one of those places. Positive...the staff. They did a great job of taking care of everyone. The place was busy. Negatives....the decor is from 1974 and it is dirty. It needs an update. The food was nothing special it was awful. The biscuits and gravy were absolutely horrible. No flavor except for the flour. The eggs were over cooked for 3 different orders. The coffee served in a dirty sticky mug. And $3.59 for a chocolate milk served in the smallest glass they have?? It is a let down.

Delicious food in a cozy diner with friendly wait staff. I have been here three times now and the food and service never disappoints. Regular customers were recognized and new customers were made to feel welcome. Plenty of parking available. Definitely worth a visit!

The ambiance in Mom's kitchen exuded a nostalgic charm, reminiscent of a diner from the 80s or 90s. The generous and delicious food, along with the friendly and knowledgeable waiter, ensures I'll be returning for sure.

Disappointed. I thought the divey breakfast cafe would be awesome but not really. Service was not very good and they weren't even very busy. We never got jelly had to get it off another table. My eggs were not cooked over medium the whites were still raw. Server never came back to our table so I just gave up on having eggs with my breakfast. Chicken fried chicken and hashbrowns were delicious however came out luke warm. We saw our food sit in the window for like 10 minutes. Overall, we were at this restaurant for about an hour mostly waiting for our food. I used to love Mom's Kitchen but we won't be back.

Delicious Pecan waffle served with hot syrup and real butter. Patrons of all ages enjoying their breakfast made quite a hum with conversational voices and laughter. I look forward to trying items from the menu at my next lunch visit.

My wife and I tried this out over the holidays. The staff and patrons were really nice and the food was really good at a reasonable price. The pancakes are HUGE and very light and fluffy - just a little bit on the rubbery chewy side. The atmosphere overall was nice, but the color scheme is very dark brown and dark green. Not terrible, But I do wish it was a lighter, more calming color scheme.
