Really good food, easy to find, parking is close. Only issue I had, it was cold inside. Customers had jackets and coats on. Thought heat was broken but went to bathroom and it was nice and toasty.
I ordered some egg rolls and a Baileys mousse from Molly Maguire’s. The egg rolls were pretty ordinary and there was no consistency in them. For some reason one had different stuffing than other two, it was also not fried till golden brown. The mouse was good but too expensive. The topping of whipped cream and chocolate syrup made it too sweet in my opinion. The meal overall was below average and the portion size was pretty small for the price I paid.
Despite having lived near it for many years this was our first visit for an earlier dinner. Loved the building and the atmosphere though I suspect it gets much livelier later in the night. We weren't particularly fond of our first seating which is tucked on a back roof corner away from everything. Some people may prefer that but it felt like we were literally put on a rooftop in an alley. we moved closer in once it started to rain. The food was fantastic and the service was kind and prompt. I'd like to try this under a different circumstance again when it's a little busier. Just my preference though.
Absolutely a delightful place. The food is delicious, the service keen and attentive (our server went out of their way for us), and the atmosphere warm and inviting. Recommended.
I only had the chicken tenders, I mean, how good could those be? So don't pay attention to my food rating. But atmosphere? This is a *perfect* little pub. Loads of character. Copious glassfuls. Friendly staff. Go.
We ducked in around noon on a Saturday for a quick bite. There weren't many customers, so we were promptly seated, and our orders were taken. Got our drinks right away, but the food took a bit. It was worth the wait. My hamburger was done to order, and my partner enjoyed her shepherds pie. Would definitely go again.
We've been here a few times and had a fun with the music and atmosphere. This time was a quiet winter weeknight but the staff was still friendly and did a great job. The Irish Colcannon Balls were good...kind of like a deep fried ball of mashed potatoes; a little plain but the chipotle dipping sauce added enough of a kick. The fish & chips were very good, not greasy or overly breaded as we've experienced at a lot of places. The Guinness Steak Pie was delicious and filling; the picture doesn't really capture it, but it was a big bowl of beef, gravy, potatoes & veggies in a rich gravy...really good. Can't wait for our next visit!
Had a great experience here! Our server was super friendly and the food came out in a timely matter. We had the risotto balls and buffalo chicken egg rolls for appetizers which were both delicious. Had fish and chips as my entree which was about as expected. Lots of delicious dessert options as well! The atmosphere was warm and intimate. Bonus points for the clean bathroom!
